No, just think how much it annoys the Morris Marina owner's club.

No it's not strange you feel bad for the piano, after all it meets it's end by landing on a Morris Marina. Can't think a less dignifying way for a piano to end.
THE DUTCH!! THE DUTCH AGAIN!!!!!

So I've also always had a question, when they have the stars in the reasonably priced cars, they always talk about how the Stig helps them and shows them what to do, but he can't reveal himself to them because its in his contract. So my question is how the hell does he talk through that damn helmet?
Hello world, remember me? I'm the sad little fuck that you failed to see, who you should have recognized When you had the chance. Hello motherfuckers now its time to dance

Frankie Boyle had a good joke about Hammond. "The anti-speeding campaign should be footage of Richard Hammond trying to remember his wedding day."

Seriously, who is the Stig?
Some say he's sleeps for only 10 minutes a week....
Some say he's got the head of a lion... on his wall....
I'd read somewhere that it was Collins months ago. I thought most people knew. Still, shame on the ST for doing that. Wankers.

Hah, no-one watches top gear for serious car testing.
What I'm saying is that other challenges were still funny, but just did not feel as good, as spontaneous or as funny as some of the previous challenges or videos. The sports car one was reasonably fresh and new. And yes, t'was funny to see them floundering around like they usually do, but it's been done before, and the same repeated thing can get a bit old, and I fear Top Gear is getting a bit stale. Now, I love Top Gear to bits, and so I feel that it should come to a close on a positive note, rather than drifting into a quagmire of repeated jokes and crazy plugging guests.

Wasn't this thing about The Stig's identity news-ish some years ago? Admittedly I haven't looked into this all that deeply, but still, I recall the exact sae thing being reported two or so years ago atleast. Still.

It is not just one person, as I genuinely know someone who has been "The Stig" before now for a brief period.

Okay, I have to admit that whatever spokesperson HarperCollins is chose to represent them to the public on this matter is being a gigantic douche:
"[HarperCollins was] disappointed that the BBC has chosen to spend licence fee payers' money to suppress this book".
Seriously? You're going to trot out that weaksauce argument?
Fine: I want to go on record right now that I am sorely disappointed that HarperCollins has decided to waste honest book purchasers' money for a legal battle so they can be spoilsports.
See, HC? Sounds pretty silly, doesn't it?
Yeah....
Regardless, I'm with Zagzag; "The Stig" is a title much like "Dread Pirate Roberts", that different drivers assume so they can do their tasks without their identity detracting from the challenge/whatever; take the Michael Schumacher situation - "Schumacher was there on that occasion because Ferrari would not allow anyone else to drive the Ferrari FXX which was featured in the show."

Actually, it wash Schumacher's FXX. But he technically doesn't really own it.

Yeah, one one hand it's his, and on the other it's not - Ferrari awarded him with it back in '06 for something; I'm not a Formula fan...anyway, there's conditions that only he can drive it - something like an extremely unique machine, I guess. Ferrari still owns the thing, and likely gets a fair amount of marketing mojo from having him drive the thing.

Ferrari is like that with all their hyper-special cars. FXX and the 599X and all their old F1 cars are owned by individuals, but only used under Ferrari's supervision.
