Re: Doctor Who
No, in the second episode that reporters says "The Face of Boe is pregnant again." But also think about it this way. Your DNA is mutating all the time. It's what causes aging or whatever. Imagine if that process was unstopped by death.
Re: Doctor Who
There is some interesting information about the Face of Boe and Boekind on the Doctor Who wikia. Whatever is going on, however, its all a bit freaky!

Oh and you can just call me Dave.
No need for the whole screen name.

Re: Doctor Who
I loved the first episode, Matt Smith was amazing, as usual and it was suitably Moffatty.
I reckon it is River in the suit, and I reckon she's the girl, but I'm not sure. Also, for some reason the aliens reminded me of Slenderman.

Re: Doctor Who
I was wondering if she was the girl, but that seems too obvious. However they did promise to wrap up River's story this series, so anything is possible.

Re: Doctor Who
If that were the case, wouldn't River know a lot more about what was going on? The thought occures to me, but I couldn't think of any way for it to make sense.

Re: Doctor Who
Seeing as they forget about the aliens the moment they look away, it stands to reason that it'd be possible for them to forget the whole event... somehow.

It's been airing on BBC America as far as I know, same day as broadcast in the UK. Is episode 2 on the iplayer yet?

Re: Doctor Who
Thanks Agloriouscuppa, yes it on iplayer now. I was mainly wondering because didn't want to say any spoilers.
Re: Doctor Who
Yeah. So that happened.
Wasn't a fan of the beginning:I didn't like how they just skipped over the cliffhanger from the last episode. It just sort of handwaves away Amy shooting the girl and Rory apparently being attacked by the Silence. And doesn't ever explain why the FBI are chasing them/have imprisoned the Doctor. That just seemed to be thrown in there. But after the Doctor escapes, fucking awesomeness ensues!

It's pretty obvious that the Silence told the FBI to arrest them.
In other news. WHAT THE FUCK!?

Re: Doctor Who
Yeah. Seriously, though if the Silents make you forget them and their plans, then it's not a complete Deus Ex for them to have a Time Lord child. Only question is, who is she? Is she a previous female Time Lord, which is basically Susan, Romana or the Rani, or is she someone new?

Re: Doctor Who
No, I think you get regeneration like (Gallifreyan) that in a species if you carry the young to term inside a TARDIS.

Re: Doctor Who
Definitely one of the darker stories in a very long time, I don't think even the 7th Doctor (Sylvester McCoy) ever tricked an entire species into unwitting genocide, and he convinced a few enemies point-blank to commit suicide.
I doubt this is the last we'll see of The Silence, given the amount of buildup and some things that were certainly not concluded in the previous season.
Time Lady girl has me very much intrigued. There is a possibility that she is Amy's daughter, however her appearing in an image with her as a baby does not inherently make it so. After all, how many photos of you as a baby with friends and family are there? I think it's more likely that at some point the Doctor has a child (possibly with River? Guess we'll see...) and the photo is shortly after her birth with Amy, the Doctor's best friend, holding her as someone else (probably the Doctor himself) takes the photograph.
I also however seriously doubt that simply being brought to term in a TARDIS can result in Time Lord regeneration abilities. I know the Whoniverse is full of all sorts of wishy-washy physics, but given the various things it protects occupants from I think it's quite probable that pregnancy is A-OK in there as well. After all, the TARDIS has a full-blown medical scanner to determine pregnancy, I'm sure it could handle things just fine.
That said, The Silence were obviously messing with Time Lady girl (TLg?) to the point of needing a serious piece of life support, so maybe she is Amy's daughter with a dose of Time Lord DNA, potentially as a means to defeat their new nemesis.

He did cause Davros to blow up Skaro and convince a Dalek to commit suicide by talking to it, though.
Seven is awesome.

Plus, Gallifreyan regeneration could never evolve naturally; any species to develop it would crowd out the planet they evolved on within a generation or three and die out.
Lying, remember; the medical scanner couldn't tell if she was pregnant or not. That's gotta either kill the developing foetus or give it special powers, and I don't think the writer's'd go for a miscarriage. Also consider; if it were River's child by The Doctor, you'd expect there to be pictures of her holding it too, but we see none. We're obviously supposed to think the child is Amy's, but whether this is a double bluff by the writers and you're correct or not, I can't tell..
I also love that Thingie Thing the Third wanted to marry a black man. I thought that was awesome.
