Would You Want to Listen to Fuzzyfreaker and Evil Jim FAP?

So this has been an idea that's been brewing around in my head for a little while, and I thought I would share this with the rest of the forums just to see if there's any interest before I start anything.

Now, some of you here may be familiar with the website Joystiq.com and their respective podcast, the Joystiq Podcast. Now, if you are involved with that community at all, you may be aware that the Joystiq Podcast has a rather vibrant community, much like our own, that hosts their own podcast, the JPAG, or Joystiq Podcast Apprecation Group. Now, I've been around you guys for a while now, and we have a lot of great and interesting personalities and discussions on this forums, and I think that we could really have some interesting discussions among ourselves.

So here is my proposal, something that I've discussed lightly with Evil Jim and present to you today. I have considered beginning the LRRFAP, or LoadingReadyRan Fan Audio Podcast. This wouldn't be a podcast specifically about LRR, persay, but about the community surrounding them, and the fans. We would have portions discussing LRR news and such, have parts where we have live thread discussions, possibly via UStream or some such, and along with other entertaining topics and tidbits.

Along with this, each week we would invite on an additional member of the LRR Fanbase to be our guest host, somebody to be along for the ride, that we can talk with and get a little bit of background on. We'd talk to older members, new inductees, anybody that seems like an interesting and active user of the forums and LRR community in general.

Now this is all very tentative and hypothetical at this point, I've worked on the idea a bit myself, I've pitched it to Evil_Jim, though I'm sure further conversations would be needed to make this work, but I think it'd be cool to do as a community.

So guys, would any of you be ready for a FAP?

Sorry Jim, it's a twitter habit. My absence on the forums has been far too lengthy.

But I'm very glad to see all of the positive reactions to this plan! I know I've seen endeavours like this be attempted before, and that's why I'm not going to overstep my abilities. In all likelyhood, this would be a monthy or bi-weekly podcast. Due to Evil Jim's lack of unrestricted internet, we also have to work through the logistics of how to get him on the show. Currently, it seems like the best plan would to have him call in via Skype or GMail from his home phone, but we'll work on figuring out the kinks. Not to mention I'm sure I have to talk to him further about what we want to do with this thing.

Currently, I'm working on the technical aspects on my side. I've done podcasts before, but I'm working with a more limited setup in college, so I'm trying to figure how I can get this all to record. My plan right now is to run a stereo cable from my microphone input to my headphone input, and record via Audacity, as well as edit. If anybody has better ideas, please let me know.

And keep posting reactions, comments and ideas here! This is a FAN podcast, in the end, we're all part of it.

I remember a LRRCast which was just Paul and Graham, who were talking to each other over the phone, and recording their halves, they than merged the two recordings together to form one coherent Pod-Cast. Just a random idea to throw out there.

He did, then I (one of his panelists) moved to the middle of nowhere without internet access, there were some technical problems on his end, and....I haven't actually seen him in a while, so I have no idea what's going on.
