Battleship: The Movie, is now starring Liam Neeson! WTF!

Universal Pictures, is investing 200 million dollars (more than was spent on Trasformers 2) to adapt the board game "Battleship", yes, that game, which we always think of for its deep and complex storyline, into a movie.

And Liam Neeson is now confirmed to be in it!

He'll be next to other actors like Taylor "Gamit" Kitsch and Rhianna No-second-name in this hopefully loose adaptation, but still a prime example of Hollywoods recent desicion to screw creativity in favour of quicker and easier movie making by just adapting the nearest and best known source material, even if that source material is a board game which consists only of saying letter-number combinations until someone is out.

I don't normally get upset over these Hollywood cash-grab adaptations, but seeing all the talent and money being put into what at best will be another Summer Blockbuster gets on my nerves. They made District 9 on 30 million, why does this movie need 200 million?

Wouldn't pretty much every large-scale navel war film set in the 20th century basically be Battleship: The Movie? Just make a Historical Epic about the Battle of Jutland, and be done with it.

And you know that Liam Neeson is going to be the fleet commander, only to lose a battleship half-way through a pivitol battle and yell "Damn you *insert enemies name here*, you sunk my battleship!"
