Blarg, I hate the spins! I don't understand how you can find it pleasant!

The spins so help me sleep. Then suddenly it's Tuesday.

I was really productive today! Got a lot of notes written up and my storyboard's close to being finished- and it looks really good. This pleases me... but the fact that it does makes me kinda sad

Came to the depressing realisation that I really need to move out of my home when I have the money to.

Today I have strongly mixed feelings.

On the one hand, my job is done. The teacher I was a substitute for has recovered from his operation and will resume his duties from next Monday.
Which makes me a bit sad. I've really taken a liking to the kids in the last five weeks and I've been getting better at actually teaching every day.
I will miss the money a bit too, although that's not even really a concern.

I like that I have more spare time though (given that I'm back on the forums and all). Combining a job and my own education took a lot out of me and I was exhausted most days. I'm really enjoying a weekend in which I don't HAVE to do anything at all.

I'm doing alright, I guess. Went out into the blustery gray yonder to pick up a few job applications. Then when I got home I decided to treat myself with a new game. After browsing GOG for a while, I settled on System Shock 2.

Perhaps a survival horror game isn't the best form of escapism for a guy with moderate depression, but we'll see.
It's all over but the crying. And the taxes.

Mum got rage at me, which loosely derived from her cutting the hedge outside.

Sadly I am ignorant about things which need to be done in the garden.
The garden isn't mine.
I am shit at cutting the hedge.

So I might as well move out. Maybe I can take my cat with me.

I'm exhausted. I substituted for a teacher for 3 hours early in the morning, watched 3 movies throughout the whole day and attended a lengthy press conference. I only managed to pull through because I took 2 showers, 2 large coffees, 3 small beers and 1 red bull.

Its 2am and my day's still going. I managed to negotiate my night shifts from 10pm–6am to 7pm–3am, so at least its nearly over.

Musically? Great. For some reason the guitar is really clicking with me today, particularly the wah-wah pedal. And I came up with a great new Zepplin-esque riff that I wrote a song around.

Writing wise, I'm at a road block. I really want to finish this script in the next week, but it feels like it keeps getting longer and longer, and isn't near the end yet. Also, the scene I'm writing right now is a NIGHTMARE. I thought it would be the easiest scene in the world to write, instead its niggly as fuck, and has taken me three days so far to work on it. And I still don't think it's all that great. I already know I'm going to come back to it with a steamroller on the second draft, but I want to make sure I have all the bones there, so that I'm not doing a complete hatchet job when I come back around. I'm fairly sure I'm mixing metaphors here.

The fact that I need to be up at 5AM tomorrow for a film shoot doesn't help either, because it means I can't keep my usual writing hours.

Frustration.

Here's a funny thing, I went to sleep at 7.30 PM and woke up just now thinking it was 1.30 PM of the following day... but it's 1.30 AM. What the hell am I supposed to do now?

Today I had french class early in the morning. It was kind of an awesome class, the professor made us listen to a cool french song and a tv show. Afterwards I proceeded to sleep the rest of the day away.

Did not have work today. Well, had two hours of work in the morning (mostly waiting to see if people who were meant to be in turned up). No substitute for a full day's work quite frankly.

Today I woke up with a boobhug (best way to wake up ever) and had no work whatsoever when I got to my workplace. My boss is away on a secret mission / trip so I have the office all to myself for one week. Also, today I didn't have to go to college so... pretty sweet! :D

I got to sleep in today because my boss scheduled me for a 2 1/2 hour shift. So I got to spend the morning with my children, go to school and make pies. Then, instead of working, the manager on duty let me work with my group members to make a video. And I got more cuddle time with the baby when I got home.
I also have a very-very-very rich chocolate tart waiting for me.

Overall, it's been a good day.

Yesterday Bebop and I went to a film festival to watch Rush. The film kind of surprised me! I expected less of it and it was actually really good! We had dinner at the cinema and then went home to conquer some Borderland challenges. :D Awesome possum day if you ask me, nom!!

My day off...

I got up and got going earlier, and ended up getting home later than if I'd worked. :P

I'm tired, broke, and completely unfulfilled.

...but I did get a lotta shit done that needed to be done...

Going to waste 2 hours or more reconstructing my computer, because my mom turned it off. She turned it completely off because it was making some noise while I was asleep. Because that's what you do, right? Instead of, I don't know, TURNING OFF THE SOUND WITH THE BUTTON THAT'S RIGHT THERE ON THE SPEAKERS WHERE THE SOUND COMES OUT OF?

I hope I don't lose my job due to this...

Knackering. Nearly a two hour drive to a reffing appointment that I managed to be stupidly early for, which was a bit weird. Match itself was bizarre- it was broadly speaking good, but I penalised both scrum halves three times apiece during the first half for putting the ball into the scrum wrong. This got a lot of people rather angry, so in the second half we all agreed to scrap that and just ignore the feed, whereupon one side promptly started thrashing the other.

Oh, and I red carded someone. So that was weird.

Pretty shitty day. I just got kicked from one of my two assignments for college because apparently the scientist I was working with felt pressured by me. I'm sorry, but I do have to graduate at some point.
