Why are you asking? I've only just woke up.
Re: So, How Was Your Day?
So again my winter clothes mysteriously disappeared when just a week ago I knew exactly where they were. I searched every damn box and every wardrove and nothing. My parents say the put aside every box with my clothes but there is none. I have only three t-shirts, one shirt, zero pants, and two sweaters. And that is it. I feel like killing people. I feel sad, I cried (I spent a lot of money on my old clothes and it comes as a shock). I feel utterly sad.

So did you find your box or are you still wearing that one shirt?

Managed a little over 1000 words past my daily target, so I'm going to go home and lie on a hard, flat surface until my spine forgives me my trespass. I'll probably read a book.

Hmm, nope, didn't find much, just a pair of sweaters no t-shirts or shirts. I've bought another t-shirt just because I was running out of excuses to keep using the other one. Silver lightnings, haha

Got off work 110 or so AM, biked halfway home, wind at 20ish mph. Fuck that, not biking on highway and being blown into traffic. Get taxi rest of the way home. Pass out after 39 hours up, slept 14 or so. Good day so far.

Re: So, How Was Your Day?
I was in the middle of a post, when zyxst called urgently for me; I assumed she saw a mouse (we've been dealing with 'stowaways' over the winter) or hurt herself, so I rushed off...paused to pull on some shoes and ended up at the front door, signing for a package - my computer components arrived.
The upgrade will have to wait until Saturday (I'm about to get ready for work tonight, and then I work Friday morning - after two shifts with minimal 'down time' between, I'll need Friday night to decompress ) but they got it to me within 48hrs of emailing me the shipping notification, which is impressive in light of the crappy weather on the Strait.

Speaking of crappy weather on the strait...keep your shovel handy, empath.
Had to go on a road trip today for work, and it started snowing heavily on the way back. And of course something broke for a different client, so I had to fix that while on the road.
On the bright side, I got to have lunch at my favourite pub/whisky bar again. And on the company dime. So I'll call that a net win for the day.

Re: So, How Was Your Day?
After work (scraped over the word count line by a gnat's pizzicato) my back seemed to be mostly fine, so I managed to get out for a run. My dodgy ankle's now being a little tetchy with me, but I think I jostled my spine back into line and I got some good exercise, so I'm calling that a win.

Did my training today and got told that the way my lungs are due to the way I was born, I shouldn't expect to live long.
I said I'm fine with that. You can't decide when or how you'll die so no point worrying about it. Otherwise you'd have wasted your life worrying about something you can't change.

I admire your outlook on life Darkobra. You get free hug coupons from this panda and possibly every other panda in the world.

Purely out of decidedly morbid curiousity, by 'live long' are they talking 'you aren't likely to make 80' or 'get started on your goodbyes'?
Either way, tough luck but a good way of thinking about it
"Let us think the unthinkable, let us do the undoable, let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not it after all."
Re: So, How Was Your Day?
There's not a chance in hell I'll make it to 80 but I won't die before I'm 30 anyway. I mean if I make it to 50, I'd consider that a good enough run. But considering my training, I think I'd do alright.
But there's no point putting a number on it. There are people who have been wrongly diagnosed as terminal who threw themselves under a bus with depression that day when it turns out they could have lived another 20 years. If it's not my lungs that'll kill me, it'll be something else. Hell, my parents were told by the hospital when I was born to stop sending for doctors and start sending for priests because I wouldn't make it to my first birthday. I have a way of exceeding expectations!
It's a nice sunny day today and I'm going to go have fun! Because what else is life about?

Life itself is a terminal condition, so you just make the most of it.

I just came back from watching Out of the Furnace. I didn't like it a whole lot, the movie takes too long to get started and by then it's already too late. Love the actors though. It had a lot of potential.

1.30 am, and only 90 minutes to go before I can drive home. I've edited somewhere between 9 and 10 thousand words and I'm definitely starting to flag.
Edit: I should mention, this is my only night shift any time soon, I'm still mostly only on mornings.

Started out grey and cold, but it cleared up and while it stayed cool it was sunny all afternoon, and should be nice for the weekend; rain in the future though.
And yes, that was both literal and figurative.
