Contrary to the Yoko reference, I prefer the conspiracy route. Given that the Crew seems to prefer to remain unmarried, Graham and the others strong armed Tim into "pursuing other interests" when they learned of his proposal plans. Having a fiancee/wife would clearly limit his ability to focus exclusively on school and LRR moreso than a girlfriend would. Tim didn't leave. He was forced out.

I agree with Evil Jim. It might be worth letting Larissa know that we can be a peculiar, albeit lovable, crowd.

In my experience (limited as it is), finding someone you like, and who likes who is hard enough as it is.

Add in politics it gets harder.

And in religious acceptance (both ways) even more so.

I see what you're saying about religion being a possible factor that can complicate relationships, but I wouldn't form a romantic relationship with someone who didn't share my beliefs, so that definitely has never been an issue for me. I just wouldn't put myself in that position.

And of course, now I don't have to worry about that anymore.
