Germany Finally Repays Its Bill for WWI

Really? I had no idea that the reparations were still going on thinking they had stopped when Hitler said "Nein". I don't think Germany should have had to repay it now since Germany reformed in the early 90s (and WW2 finally ended). Much of the reparation had struck off too.

"After WWII they decided to hang the leaders but not to punish the nation," says Prof Harrison.

No, it was the opposite.

After WW1, the Germans honestly did not know why they had lost. They had not been occupied, so why were they making these payments?

During and after WW2, Germany was punished. Mass airial bombing isn't trivial, nor is occupation and complete loss of national soverigenty (in a real, "troops on the ground ready to impose a carthagenian solution" sense). True defeat was a much deeper and effective scar than some debts.

Judging by your spelling and grammar we shouldn't have paid it back, it has destroyed the funding for our education system.

That would be money borrowed to finance the war. Not money charged for losing one.

Also, that's an improper use of a comma. Those are two independent clauses that aren't bridged by any conjunction. Therefore, a semicolon or full stop should have been used. Also, you should have used a comma between the dependent and independent clauses. The correct sentence(s) could've been

Admittedly, the latter is awkward.

A hyphen or colon (both sound oddly sexual) might have worked in place of a semi colon or full stop/period.

This is true. Also, 'semicolon' is one word.

There's no such thing as a two dot ellipsis. Even if there was, I wouldn't use it there.

I believe he was referring to "Ed." who does have a period at the end of his username, and then ending the sentence with a separate period.

Ah, well there you have it.

Also, I would have put comma in that sentence.

But, as we said, that sentence would still be wrong, since it either lacks a full stop or refers to a person not in the thread. The correct sentence would be

I don't understand how your MA in the rotary motion of balls given around the vertical axis applies.

You'd be surprised, it's a very versatile MA, unlike my BFA in video game design.
