Penny Arcade, PvP, Wil Wheaton D&D
I remember people making topics to discuss the podcasts when they came out, so in the same spirit I submit:
This. A Vlog series that was recorded at PAX with all the players dressed up and playing their characters. I've not watched it yet, as I've only just found out about it from Gabe's Twitter. Still. It looks promising. Here's hoping I'm not wrong.

Two nights ago I stayed up until 4 AM just to watch this.
So good. SO amazing. More amazing, funnier and more delightful than I could have even begun to imagine it.

Yeah man, I just watched it all too. Oh man. SO funny. I was gawuffing the whole time. XD
So many great quotes, epic rolls and moves. They heavily hinted at a forthcoming podcast at the end too, so there's that to look forward to as well.

I've watched the first one and I have a feeling I'll be up late watching more. Or I'll pass out at my desk. We'll see.

Dammit; I have to be clocked in at work in less than seven hours.
This'll wait for me when I get home after...I hope...

Re: Penny Arcade, PvP, Wil Wheaton D&D
So five episodes in, Mike as Jim Darkmagic made a move wherein he took out four enemies with a single roll. I half stood up in my chair, fist raised in triumph, and roared my approval. I then sheepishly looked around and was relieved to note that no one else was there to witness my nerdy display.
I'm seriously considering getting some sleep at this point, though.

I think the bit at the end is the best moment in the whole session.

Man, there are so many funny, quotable lines, and so many great moments. Like The moment when Hellie the Hell Cow thunders up. Or when they first meet Mr. Stinky and Chris says "It seems.. lonely". I was like "Aw. Poor zombie. :3". Or how Wil screamed every time someone said "Acid". Cracked me up every time. XD Or Scott complaining about his metal helmet, or his remark about needing a jock strap and why. Oh man, just thinking about it brings the moments flooding back. It's like I was there. XD
Sadly, with actually being able to see the players, as opposed to the podcasts, I found it more difficult to envision their surroundings. Also, the incredible amount of funny kept pulling me out of it too, but I don't regret that. ;D

I could certainly do with more D&D vidcasts of even half this calibre actually, this was really cool.
"Hey no problem El"
"...my name...is AOFEL!"
"Dude! Chill out!"
I did also find myself retorting and hoping for things to turn out against my expectations (Which were, I admit, generally "doooooooom!") whilst listening through my earphones and watching...no-one's said anything yet, I think I'm alright.

All DnD needs to be played with a cheering audience.

Hahaha, yeah. XD
I think I'ma go back and watch them again. Usually I need a few weeks at least before I want to watch something again, more usually a year or two. But man, I this is just too good.
I could totally watch these guys play D&D all day.

Re: Penny Arcade, PvP, Wil Wheaton D&D
Maybe it's the visual aspect of this compared to the podcasts that came before it, but I felt like Chris Perkins had a lot more personality in this one, like he was holding his own with the other four as opposed to just being a facilitator for their shenanigans. In fact, now that I think about it, he really didn't do anything differently from the podcasts, but since I already knew what Mike, Jerry, Scott, and Wil looked like, maybe seeing Chris makes him more real or something.
That being said, as soon as I get a chance, I'm converting these to mp3s and adding them to my PA/PVP DnD podcast collection.

Chris DOES totally rock, and I agree seeing him helped 'strengthen' my bond with him.
And is it just me, or did Chris's performance of that tiefling aide-de-camp of the Big Bad sound like Kevin J. O'Connor?

I love how they were riffing on and playing off each other. So funny.
