Don't lie empath! (Besides it's more like a 3.7 ish and some change. It would have been a lot lower but I transfered Universities and my GPA doesn't transfer.)
Also does anyone know how to spell check on Explorer 7?

Re: firefox is awesome
I'm actually 100% petrified of anything new so now I still use IE despite its constant crashes and my old keyboard which lacks a space key, instead using one hand to type words and one to click the spacebar with the on-screen keyboard. Same reason I still have a tv which no longer shows the colour red.
Nothing to see here.

Really? There can often be plenty of good reasons to...prevaricate. Especially to oneself.

I used it a lot over the summer, I still prefer Firefox. It works better for how I work.

Re: firefox is awesome
I've used firefox a few times and never really gotten into it. I guess if i used it more i might come to like it. I have chrome all set up how i like it now, so there seems to be little sense in changing.

Different browsers work better for different people. That's the good thing about these days, you have several to choose from and customize to your preferences.

Re: firefox is awesome
The computer guy at work today gave me a dirty look because I admitted to having downloaded Firefox onto our 3 office computers so I could actually get stuff done online. The only browser previously on those computers was Internet Explorer. I mean, he's a tech guy and thinks Internet Explorer is the browser of choice? This is part of what's wrong with our office.
I don't remember where I heard this (probably on these forums), but I love it:
"Internet Explorer is for grandparents and people who don't know any better."
Even my grandparents don't use it anymore.

Re: firefox is awesome
The schools here use IE 6 too. The main reason is that you still have a lot of older teachers who aren't used to computers and things changing between updates, and will complain about suddenly being unable to use it because a button has being moved a few pixels over or something. So it's just easier to stick with outdated software for years on end, even after the technicians finally receive authorization and the budget to upgrade.

but then even all the old teachers manage to upgrade, or the ones who were young become old and are used to a more up to date model than the one the school uses.

That's how school's work, they'll always be about 5-7 years around when it comes to technology. It wasn't that long ago that some schools around here still had windows 95 and 98 machines.

I use Firefox. My mother won't let me download Chrome because she's had to deal with so many computers it's screwed over.

This is the strangest thing I've ever heard about a web browser.
"Just never really got into it" is something I usually hear in context to a band/album, or maybe a movie or game.
Now thread. Carry on.

Re: firefox is awesome
IE9 is a step too far beyond Google Chrome. I can't find anything because there is nothing for the interface. That being said it would probably run really well on netbooks. But given that it's not supported on XP, that kinda negates that aspect of it.
Firefox is great and I use it for my main computer but it's so bloated and takes up too many resources for me to run it on my laptop.
