My stepmother makes the best toblerone cheesecake ever. EVER. Even I can't resist it, and I rarely eat sweet foods. Actually she really just kicks ass at making desserts in general. She's awesome.

I was going to say this, but I was worried that I'd be the only one

I've had to assure my superiors at work that the show-stopping problems on the pre-release server are caused because it isn't a live server and therefore won't appear when the code goes out to the live server tonight.
Man, I hope I'm right.

I guess I should add that the reason it's in the confession topic is because I'm not as confident as I told them I was.

ddue, don;t worry about it. If it the server doesn't launch with the code, then you can launch it afterward. Not a huge problem on the grand scale of things.
Remember: Eddie Izzard shows us techno-joy
That's how I approach problems with code at work. "Let's just run it and see what happens. If nothing else, then FOR SCIENCE!!"

Which are fine as long as someone actually reads and agrees to them. Many's the time I've written a spec, done the work only for someone to come back and say "Why does it do this?" or "It should do this differently". I still write them but I despair of anyone ever reading them.

At which point you point out to them that the spec is a form of contract, and that any further work would require further remuneration/time/tools. Also, they should learn to read specs a little better.

I'll tell you what didn't happen: I totally didn't dream about someone I've been crushing on for a while. Someone who is a member of this forum.
Nope, totally didn't happen.

Well, that's a relief. Gunner would probably take it awkwardly if he knew you were fantasizing about him.

Pretty much the Catholic Church, people who talk in theatres and the Welsh.

I'd never noticed the red dog house, and the dog laying on it, in the video I linked previously until just now.

Until being corrected at a party this weekend, I thought the chorus for the BEP song "Imma Be" was saying "Bumble Bee"
He habitually wears an expression as if he had determined to drive his head through a brick wall, and was about to do it (Description of U.S. Grant)

Re: The Confession Topic: Get It Off Your Chest!
I got a call from my closest friend last night. Turns out he was taken into the hospital on Friday. He's been losing a lot of weight over the past few months, and has had trouble walking for the past few weeks. Turns out that he's got a tumour between his pelvis and his bladder.
Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep last night, worry and such.
It's a bad couple of weeks to know me, isn't it? Be safe, friends.
