Odd Question

I'm trying to write something, and I have a character's name of Aurora. But as with most larger syllabled/fancy names it would get shorted to something but I'm not quite sure what. Does anyone have any ideas?

Funny story: I had a friend who thought that Sleeping Beauty's name was Areola. We told her that it was Aurora, and then told her what areola was. She was horrified.
