I think at the very least, this needs to become a thing in the cH universe. As in, someone could say, "Hey, Matt, you coming over tonight?" "Nah, I wanna catch The Mod Squad." Or someone's watching TV and we could hear a reference to it right before they turn it off.

I like the "show-within-a-show" idea, means there wouldn't be pressure to try to do anything regularly, but keep the concept alive =)

Not that I don't think the idea could support itself, just it way be an "easy way" if you went the soapy direction rather than challenges?

More like a "buddy comedy" in the same vein of Harold and Kumar.
Kumar drags Harold into something completely and totally stupid and they quickly end up over their heads...
