Dear Jack Frost
FUCK OFF ALREADY. Seriously out of the last three weeks I spent the last eighteen days in a combination of sub-zero temperatures and up to my knees in snow and the best part is it could last another fucking month. I hate being in England right now too much snow, how's the weather where you are?

sub-zero for the past few months. snow up to my knees. It will be colder for Jan, and start getting over 0 degrees in march or april.
suck it up. it's not permanent.

Re: Dear Jack Frost
WRONG ENGLAND, JACK FROST
New England has been mysteriously lacking in snow this year. Hell, we even had a day warm enough that I didn't need a jacket! (I mean, okay, that was just a weird week, it's been below freezing most of the time, but STILL.)
I get grumpy when it's bitter cold and there's no snow on the ground to justify it.

Snow that melts the moment it touches ground and fog. Lots and lots of fog, so much it filled the grand canyon! No, really it did

About 5 inches of snow and more predicted, will make getting to work on my bike a real chore.

I had the snow up to my knees time. Now it's gone and it's apparently coming back. Only a thin layer right now but college ends tomorrow so I'm fine.

Re: Dear Jack Frost
Weirdly low amounts of snow this year (at least while I've been here and not being a vagrant elsewhere), but I'm A-ok with that -> less shoveling.
Lots of cold and ice though.

I know what you mean, it was 65f today. Honest to goodness 65f. I'll tell you, I wore my long shorts today.

The climate seems to be dicking with us. It has not been above -5 degrees Celsius (23 Fahrenheit) much over here, even during the day. And we have quite a bit of snow (for the Netherlands that is, its only about 50 centimeters total)

We had our short patch of winter... in November. That was fun. Then Saturday it snowed, but it didn't really stick at all. I'd like more snow - we only ever get a day or two of it.

Re: Dear Jack Frost
We had snow on Dec. 1 - about five inches in an hour or two, and almost paralyzed the town due to our not expecting so much so soon (inB4 "that's what she said")
Since then it's been rain and fog and coldish for the past couple of weeks, with maybe two days of intermittent sun (and one of those is TODAY).
It's gonna be a green...no, actually it's gonna be a BROWN Christmas here.
But yeah, looks like Old Man Winter went to the wrong side of the Atlantic this year...

It's snowy and cold here.

It's been pretty warm in beautiful, sunny [city southwest of Toronto], Ontario. The temperature this week is apparently approaching 0 from the negative side. Less snow than in [uni town 45 min drive from current location]... you can even see the tips of the grass - it's positively balmy out here.

I really need to cut down on my TV, I thought you were talking about the Inspector.
But yes, it is very cold here. First time I've seen the inside of the windscreen frozen and not just the outside.

Re: Dear Jack Frost
Yeah.. I don't actually mind the snow too much. It's the cold I don't like, since I'm not used to it.
I'd quite like it to be an honest-to-goodness real White Christmas, though, so I'm hoping it sticks around for a little while. A week's all I need!

No, shorts that go mid shin instead of shorts just below the knee.
Duh.
