d-d-d-ddouble post!

MinionStarwind wrote:Currently i'm looking a lot into The Phantom's Revenge. I use a bunch of his stuff in my mixing, but a few songs stand out in particular.

Last Man Standing (original Mix)
Charlie
Machine Gun Girl
TPR remix of Mother's of Charleston's 'Taxi Driver' (doesn't get good til 1:30)

All good stuff if you're into sample-chopping like myself.

When I was on holiday on Isle of Wight we were walking through Rylstone Gardens and happened across this gig by a local band called Lucid. Half an hour later I had bought both their CDs. They're sort of a rock-folk type band. They're quite good :D

In honor of completing this game for a third time,
Broken body built anew
Spirit lingers, torn in two
Metal fingers grip my heart so cold

Fossil fuels to slavery
Political duplicity
Every great commodity's been sold

I loooove this song.

Oh God, if only the singer had a voice that fits the song, I would adore it, because the lyrics and music are really good, the singer just lets it all down, big time,

Yes, because that video is a all lies and deceit except for the in-game hacking part
also this video makes me want to self mod even more
also, what was wrong with the voice? what would you have preferred.

I really reeeeally want one, but they're really expensive and really really hard to get.

Other than that, I've been listening to the deleted reprise from Be Prepared from the Lion King repeatedly.

Well, thanks to Obscurus Lupa this has quickly become a new favorite:

Wolf Like Me by TV on the Radio.

For those of you interested that song is off of an album called, get this, "Return to Cookie Mountain". Awesome.

I've just fallen in love with the Bastion Soundtrack.

The game itself is good but the MUSIC. Image

...and it makes me sad because I don't have the funds to even pick up this modest little indie game, let alone the soundtrack edition...

I love that song and I love that album. One of my favourites of the last decade easily.

I've been on a massive Smashing Pumpkins trip lately. Mellon Collie has been on lot lately.

I am unashamedly obsessed with Duran Duran.
You probably laugh, but they have in fact put out a new album just this year, and it is the best thing they've done since the early 80s.
Their new stuff. Wait for the chorus.

Why yes, I AM only 18. :P

Owl City I can take or leave. Mostly leave.

I've just discovered Ronald Jenkees and literally cannot stop listening to his stuff. Its just so awesome to listen to! The joy he feels in making the music is evident in the videos he makes and the music he produces. So good. Throwing Fire and Stay Crunchy are particular favourites at the moment!

Abney Park are pretty awesome as well, which is hardly surprising since they describe their music as steampunk, and I can't really disagree. Building Steam is a pretty good place to start and their cover of Little Drummer Boy is remarkably good. Besides, any band who creates a RPG system called Airship Pirates are good in my books!

Oooh, Abney Park! They're brilliant. The whole AEther Shanties album is really great. They just put out a new one too? I haven't heard any of it yet.

The Neskimos. For your consideration:

F-Zero Port Town: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7RTICgCT9g
Kirby Grande March Gourmatique: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-gXGa6XpBE (better than the SSBB soundtrack version IMO)
