What are your personal worst movies ever?

Postby King Kool » 04 Apr 2011, 17:09

Partially research, partially curiosity, what is everyone's worst movies list? You can list whatever you like, but if you haven't seen it, be up front with that.

My worst movies I've seen list:

John Q.
The Life of David Gale
The Mummy 3
Rat Race (the only movie I've ever walked out on)
Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li
Clash of the Titans
Due Date

and probably some other stuff I can't remember right now.

The two movies I dislike the most (at least that come to mind right now) are Twilight (for obvious reasons) and the Wing Commander movie.

Home for the Holidays

Saw this with my dad. I was bored out of my mind; it felt at least twice as long as it actually was. It's supposed to be a comedy, but I didn't laugh once. :\

I would normally say "Bridge to Terribithia" which I HATED, despite it having Trillian from Hitchhiker's in it, but I'm pretty certain now that my least favourite film of all time is "I Am Number Four", which is the only film I've ever felt robbed by having paid for it.

Blair Witch 2 - Book of Shadows
Alone in the Dark
Spiderman 3

All movies I would have walked out of if I wasn't there with friends.

Don't Mess with the Zohan
The Love Guru
The Last Airbender
Maybe I wasn't able to seperate myself from my love of the show or whatever, but I just didn't think this movie was good. At all.

Bad comedies in general.
See, a life filled with MST3K has conditioned me to enjoy bad drama/sci-fi/action/ect movies by riffing them while I watch.
Bad comedies just aren't funny.
Nothing I can do about that.

I don't get this "walking out of" business. Maybe it's because movies are expensive here, but if I'm paying near 20 bucks to see a movie, I'm going to watch the whole thing, no matter how bad it is.

I sometimes watch movies specifically because they are bad. People will see me watching something and say "You like THAT movie?" and I'll have to explain that I'm watching it /because/ it's bad... I'm an odd fellow.

You're odd for that? Tell that to the many afternoons I've spent watching Syfy origionals. Megashark vs the Giant Octopus FTW.

I usually feel that way when a movie is just kinda bad, but when a movie is insulting my intelligence then it's not worth it. Spiderman 3 was the worst offender for this.

Started watching Hercules and the Amazon Women with the family to basically make fun of it, but halfway through got too fed up and left. I'm not that big of a stickler for accuracy, but... the hydra and the everything. Ugh. Just... wrong.

Also, I expect this of Kevin Sorbo, but having him, a Katee Sackhoff look-alike, and a Stephanie Romanov look-alike kept throwing me for a loop. Had Andromeda, BSG, and Angel in my head all at once. >.<

The worst movie I have EVER seen is Shazaam. I sawit when I was a little kid, and even then I knew it was crap, and that says a lot.

Star Trek: Nemesis. Both because it was an objectively terrible movie and because it ruined a franchise so hard they had to reboot it.

Transformers 2
The Room (apparently I nerdraged enough to scare a friend of mine when I was telling her how much I hated it)
Scary Movie (any of them, 3+4 were slightly better but that's only because Leslie Nielsen was in them.)

I don't watch a lot of movies, especially not bad ones.

Spider-Man 3
Star Trek: Nemesis
and the Star Wars prequels
and Transformers 1/2
and Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.

Interestingly enough, I was just riffing on Commando with my brother this morning. Not the worst movie I've ever seen, but pretty bad. I do love Ahnold's one-liners, though.
I haven't seen it all personally, but going from the Nostalgia Critic review of it, Good Burger just shouldn't exist.
Oh, and Shrek 3. It had one genuinely awesome moment near the climax, but rest of it was just... dull.
