These are Bernese Mountain Dogs. The little one does look stuffed, but that's because she was the runt of the litter and proportioned a little weird.

That, and the way her legs are positioned. She looks really floppy.

Criticize all you want, but when I walk in to rob a bank and open my trench coat to revel these guys, I get all the money I want.

My god sir I do believe that that monkey is wearing denim shorts!

Also this thread is equally great and relaxing, could probably even be used as an anaesthetic. As the surgeon operates you just surf through the thread, won't feel a thing.

Monkey - quite small, slanted more to the horizontal, limbs more quadripedal, annoying, fast, shrieky.

Image

Chimpanzee - larger, more upright posture, limbs more bipedal, less bitey and grabby, more ponderous, quieter.

The monkey/ape thing often annoys me too. But not as much as people referring to apes in a way that is supposed to exclude humans somehow.
When in doubt, just say simian. It works for both. An easy way to remember though is usually tail = monkey, no tail = ape.

Just, whatever you do, do not call an orangutang a monkey.
