I am concerned that the quality of something is determined by whether it agrees with the consumer's opinion or not, rather than its objective quality.

Thanks, that was easier to understand.

However, what would be the solution? More objective?
I'd not want to read a conservative newspaper (and indeed we have a rather good one here, the FAZ, but I'm not buying it because of it's generally held views). Occasionally it's interesting to see things from a different pov of course.

I still enjoy ZP. He does lean a bit towards blasting a game for the sake of pleasing the fans but he still is clever in his observations. If you think he's complaining about the same thing, it's the game industries' fault not his.

He makes 95% accurate observations and stretches them for comedic effect. For example, with his Skyrim review I rofled when he mentioned the hell-bent-mass-murdering horse.
