This is not based on a member of the forum. However. I would still like to see who can guess who it is without cheating. ;)

What were the spoons made of? Could have been recycling items by carving them into love spoons.

Just because something is biodegradable doesn't mean you should throw it away if you can repurpose it. Recycling isn't just about preventing waste, it's also about saving on the production cost of whatever would have to be created if you didn't repurpose the item instead.

Grats on your 2nd and 3rd place though, and I will admit you showed more creativity than the other guy.

The wood could provide habitat for insects.
I'm serious.
In country estates and woodlands there are fallen trees which are protected (ie you can't salvage them for kindling/timber) because they provide habitats for insects that live in dead and decaying wood; woodlice, earwigs, millipedes etc..

It also felt like he went "I am a professional wooden love spoon carver and there's a competition coming up. I will submit a pair of spoon I made anyway with the most tedious link to the competition theme. No I didn't think or try at all about the theme."

I was bored, and I've been playing far far too much Magic so I sketched and inked this random pic of Ajani,

Might color it later, I dunno.

Doing my Photoshop Advance coursework and I'm stuck on the head swapping task.

I can do the steps, it's just I keep choosing bad photographs.
I also want to make a troll picture.

I tried Rebecca Black but she has a big fringe in one so it's hard to convincingly plonk it on.

I tried Justin Bieber but the same as above.

So I finished this cross-stitch recently...

Image

This was a birthday gift for my aunt. It took me about five months from start to finish, and that's including the month it took me just to color in the map (it didn't translate well from the pattern maker program).
It's not epic unless it's dactylic hexameter.

So. This teaches me not to take such long absences from the forums. Again. Everyone in this thread is talented as hell. Seriously. This is all excellent stuff, guys. Especially enjoying Jester's daily pictures. Damn good.

Here's one of my own recent pics. Just a lil' character art for a D&D character.

Well unfortunately I've been letting things slide recently. :?

First it was a lack of inspiration, and then... THIS FUCKING HEAT.

Seriously, it's tough to concentrate on drawing when your fingers are so slick with sweat that it's difficult to hold the stylus properly.

Hey, I need some help and feedback; which of these hair styles do you think look better?

And what do you think I should theme this superhero on? ATM her outfit just isn't working (I've spent the last hour trying to get it right to no avail), and I don't know what powers to give her or what to name her. :?

I like the scruffiness of #1 but her fringe looks too neat.
#2 makes me think Marge Simpson.

I really like the first one more. It's more Amazon. The second is more bad 50's singer.

If you pick the first hairstyle, she reminds me a bit of a hyena, her name and theme could be Hyena?
