Share your Art with the world!
Re: Share your Art with the world!
Been a while guys Loving the new additions.
Re: Share your Art with the world!
I don't really consider my own photos as art, to me they're just something I do to relax. Other people take arty photos, to them it's a craft, it takes skill, knowledge, time and setup. Then there are the others who labour for hours to produce something with their bare hands, that's art. I just point a shiny box at things I like and hope.
However there are a couple in this album that I'm quite pleased with: http://keab42.smugmug.com/Architecture/ ... &k=kMgpZfZ

Another rough concept sketch. The proportions are a little off though. This character is supposed to be a bit more skinny. I also forgot to finish the hammer. I suppose I'll finish it in Photoshop.

I just finished my final project for college. It's certainly . . . a thing. Description and music in link.

More animation. This time it's lip sync practice. Still getting the hang of the way Photoshop does frame timing.

Not done much for a while, as something about having a dread of going nowhere in life sucks my creative energy out of me. But yesterday I managed to sketch together a small picture for a char of mine.

So I've been scanning my work for a final project at school and decided to finally sign up for deviantArt. I only have a few pictures uploaded at the moment and will be working to finish getting the rest of what I have up over the weekend.

So I finished it and in the process learned how to save stuff without losing the quality. Turns out adding a little noise does the trick.

Very nice, really like how solid your drawings are, Psycat.

Thanks
Edit:
I just discovered a fun-looking new thing where three people collaborate on a drawing. One person draws, one does line work, and the other colours and they all take turns. The end result is 3 pieces. I'm curious to know if anyone else would be interested in doing this.

Re: Share your Art with the world!
This is what I'm working on at the moment.
(I am doing other things as well, but this is what I can physically show you)
I'm using official World of Warcraft concept art as a reference. I find it very challenging to do as there's so much going on on the figure. The artist has produced the image digitally so I have all these fancy brushes and filters making the shading look complex and busy. So I'm taking it 1 step at a time. I am absolutely thrilled how his armour is turning out. I need to work out how the hell I will do his fur. I also need to find a good quality white pencil or a good quality eraser so I can do the 'highlights'.

I'd be down, but be aware I will twist whatever you give me into something fleshy and delicious.

Re: Share your Art with the world!
Cool, so if you two are on board that makes 3 of us.
Here's an example I pulled off DeviantArt to show what I mean:
Shall we begin? We can start by each making a drawing of whatever we want and posting it in the thread.

Re: Share your Art with the world!
I made a thing. With my hands. And some card and felt and glue and stuff.
This is something I’ve been working on for a while. I wanted a nice box for my dice, and I wanted it to look classy, so I decided to make it look like a book, and line it with green felt.
I also wanted to be able to roll dice in it, so that’s what the clamshell design is for. It works really well!
I’m not sure whether to add some kind of design to the front cover, something like a fancy piece of graphic design with a false title.
Would any of you fine people like something similar? How much would you be willing to pay for a hand-made, with made-to-measure compartments for something? A hip-flask, maybe?
Sorry about the crappy quality. Pictures were taken with my phone.
