Share your Art with the world!
Re: Share your Art with the world!
I suppose I should stop wondering why no one looks at my art and actually put it out there.
I should also say I'm open to commissions and have a webcomic

Re: Share your Art with the world!
A few years ago I was in a photoshop class, and as an end assignement we were asked to create a picture that could work as an add for something.
So I made this, which if I recall correctly is a canadian TV station.
I did make another vesrion of this, wich was samller and had less stuff in it.

My imagination is rarely that focused. It's mostly abstract blobby shapes and colour.

Agreed! She's got a very nice style, and good anatomy and poses. ^_^
Do you have a DA account or something, Kaiserin? =D
Hurp-De-Durp!
Re: Share your Art with the world!
Kaiserin, your stuff is awesome!
And Smeghead, the ad is definitely better than most ads I've seen. Do you still have the compact version as well?

She does indeed.
She also has two rather excellent webcomics.
That first one is complete; the story is told. You should still read it, though.
Re: Share your Art with the world!
So for my webcomic layout, I haven't made a lot of progress. But here is a pic.
I'm trying to figure out what shape to give the second panel. Round, oval, starry, square, or the shown rectangle? Should it be linked with the house at all or just placed inside the first panel? I'm planning to have a white "margin" outline around it once the shape has been decided, by the way.
Not sure if we're supposed to ask for advice in this thread but if you have any... that would be much appreciated. Comments on anything else would be awesome too

I think a circle would be a little too different from the rest of the page. But that looks like a good layout. I like the big to small, macro to mirco-ness of the exterior to interior.
Re: Share your Art with the world!
Smeghead I would like to see that ad posted all over the buildings in boston so much more than the dross they've got up there now. Not only is it a cool ad it's atractive.
Re: Share your Art with the world!
Thanks, Kaiserin
It's my second layout (the first one was before I changed the style).
In the first one I realised I never put the two characters in the same panel, and that it was difficult to get a sense of where they were in comparison to one another. So I tried working on that for this version. It seems to work better while still allowing me to copy paste the kitchen, which I spent ages working on so I don't want to keep it for just one panel

Re: Share your Art with the world!
Double post to show progress with some dialogue:
I actually went for oval before reading your post, Kaiserin, I hope it works like this. Not sure if the text is too small to read right now?
Either way, making good progress, I'll work on the rest of the page soon. First I wanted to make sure how much of the dialogue would go in each panel, so that I knew how many panels I needed of them inside the house.

Re: Share your Art with the world!
Have you thought about using a heavier line for your panels? It might make them stand out as seperate scenes a bit more.
Re: Share your Art with the world!
I could definitely give it a try. My reasoning was mostly that the thinner the line, the more room for the panels themselves. But if it makes it easier to read, then that's what I'll do.

Re: Share your Art with the world!
It looks good so far, but I agree with Kaiserin, a thicker line for the panels will separate things nicely.
In other news ... I FINISHED A DRAWING! SQUEEEEEE!!
*cough* Right, that's enough coffee for me ... *goes and gets some more anyway*
This is Kotone of the Kitahana clan, and a Jounin of the Sand Village. The Kitahana clan had a blood-line limit which allows them to use their own voice to preform gen-jutsu, this is most often done in song.
Most commonly this ability is used to either confuse the enemy, to leave them vulnerable to attack, or even to make them start fighting among each other, or even put the enemy to sleep.
Because of this ability Kotone is the Jounin-sensei of the team that Gin, Gaara's son, is part of as he became the Jinchuriki to hold Shukaku after his father. The ability of Kotone's clan can be used to lull the tailed-beast to sleep to allow Gin to sleep, as such she's been looking after him since he first had the beast sealed inside him.

Looks good. Gaara is one of my favourite characters by the way (I like Lee and Shikamaru as well)

Thank you! =]
Yeah, I really like Gaara too, not one of my favourites (Asuma, Jiraiya and Lee.), but definitely a great character! ^^

Re: Share your Art with the world!
Got a few things that I'm actually proud of, most of this just reposted from my various artwork repositories.
-Naked Snake, Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater
Sorry for the somewhat shoddy photo, I don't really have a better way to upload a painting online -_- Acrylic and hand-made watercolor on canvas. Only painting I've ever done that I don't hate.
-Raiden, Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty
Autodesk Sketchbook Pro 2011 on my laptop with my tablet. Some stylistic practice.
-Alucard Faranheit Tepes, Castlevania Symphony of the Night
Bit of a cop out for me, this is my first piece done in this style.
-Lucario, Pokemon
One of my personal favorites, even if it isn't my best. Fun fact: Lucario is my favorite video game character.
-Link, The Legend of Zelda
I really like how this one came out. I don't see a lot of Zelda 1 artwork, hence why I did this. More fun facts: The Legend of Zelda for the NES is my favorite game of all time.
-Lucario, Pokemon (again)
Another one of my favorites. I actually made this pic on accident. Was working on a fairly standard piece when I accidentally hid the "flat color" layer, and all that was left behind were the lines and the shading. I actually like this even more than the full piece.
And yeah, there's a random sampling of my artwork. Hope it's up to par...

You're right to be proud of this one, it's fantastic. Looks very professional.
Getting the hang of anatomy is tough, and painting in Photoshop/with a tablet is tougher. I speak from experience here, so believe me when I say your stuff is a good start. Keep it up!
