This is an illustration of this world I dreamed up:


It's a world. Maybe some continents or one huge one that sits in the middle of a huge ocean. The ocean is ringed with impassable mountains. The mountains are so tall their peaks vanish into the sky. No one has ever reached above them. The mountains are impervious to all damage. Is the world ringed by mountains, or is it in a giant pit? Who knows? (I don't. I like the ambiguity).

And I finished this:

I knew the water would be a bitch to do. I didn't realise how much of one.

You're painting something which is both moving and is for a split second, solid.


I also felt like I was trying to paint the picture in two ways. One in a way which I do things, and one in a photo-realistic way. When I finished I was kind of disappointed. When I photographed it, I was like "WOW!".

Nice. For water I'd recommend adding some slight lines of blue to show the flow of the water.

It's sort of oozing everywhere.

I have a faint brush. When I feel up to it, I'll address the water a bit better.

I will admit I cheated with the orbital ring from Uchuu No Kishi Tekkaman Blade (Teknoman) by screen grabbing multiple pictures and piecing them together. Oh boy that would have taken weeks.

Let me take this opportunity to say once again that man, you people are all awfully talented.

I finished my first piece for the Desert Bus Craft-Along. I'm really curious who will recognize it.

That dog thing is pretty cute. I'm doing one large needle felting this year for desert bus. My mom bought me a large bulk bag of white/cream roving, which I may follow her advice and dye some for future projects as finding the correct colour can be challenging sometimes.

Man, been too long since I popped my head in here. Lots of good art has been posted since. <3

I envy people's ability at producing products suitable for Desert Bus.

I did another thing, for a character I'm playing in a Dark Heresy game. She never really takes her helmet off when she's in her armour, but seeing as images of Sororitas helmets are easy enough to come by I didn't feel the need to draw her with the helmet on.
