Re: Google+
Yeah, but ideally all the comments to the celebs' posts would stack and squish so you click on 'read 300 posts about Felicia Day's kitteh pictures?' rather than either a) having them take up all of your Stream or b) muting them entirely. It works sometimes, but not always.

Re: Google+
I agree, or as Kathleen_LRR has suggested, something like FB's "5 friends have shared this link" notification instead of my entire stream being reshares of Things My Cat Hates.

Ah, the wisdom of people who actually use their eyes. I don't know how I keep missing these things. Thanks Laura!
Re: Google+
The thing is, I DO want to see Wil's or Felicia's post. I don't want to see ALL of the responses. (Veronica Belmont recently found out the hard way that G+ limits responses to 500). The default should be to display the post and maybe two comments and have you click a link to see all of the rest. In fact, I really need to submit a suggestion to Google on this very issue since it's the one thing I actively dislike about G+ so far.

That's... what it does? For me at least. It shows the first two comments that weren't there last time you checked (like, last time you opened G+, there were 10 comments, so when you load it today, it shows comments 11 and 12) or just the last 2 if there aren't any new ones. And buttons to expand the older and newer comments. Once it's expanded, you can't collapse it again without refreshing the page, which would be useful, but that's relatively minor. I guess if you just leave the G+ page open all day the comments will just accumulate, but when the page loads the display is sane.

Re: Google+
Except it doesn't all the time. At least, not for me. Not sure if it's some esoteric setting that I need to adjust or just a bug on Google's part; I submitted a 'feedback' last week.

You're Goat, duh! And no cookie for me thanks, it's probably got tracking information.

Re: Google+
Upon further inspection, if I hit reload, it restricts comments displayed to the most recent three. Which is fine. But I have people in my "Following" circle who can generate a hundred comments in a few minutes, utterly flood my stream. If Google's response to this is "Have you tried turning it off and on again?" then I would argue that the service is broken.
If have to manually refresh your website to make it not suck, it still sucks. And I really want to like Google+. But in this instance, they are not making it easy for me.

Oh, I'm not trying to argue against that it could suck a lot less... just saying that there is a workaround, so it's not a complete game-breaker.

Displaying only 2 or 3 comments on page load is default behaviour on my page.

Re: Google+
You can't. You need to go to your stream - the place where you see and can make posts - and in the place with the little blue button thing that says "Your Circles" click the x to close it, and start typing their name in there. It'll come up with a list of everyone who's name it could be, which is gradually whittled away as you type in more letters. Click the name you want, or type the name out in full.

I couldn't find it through my iPhone, but I did find it through iTunes on my computer, downloaded, and synced to my phone with no trouble.
