Re: PAX Prime
Pax was awesome! The expo hall was crazy with so much to see and do... sensory overload!
My 2 friends and I went for the first time this year, although we could only get sunday passes as we waited too long to order. And our hotel was in... shall we say a "rough" neighbourhood 20 minutes south of Seattle near the airport. We'll definitely be going back next year with 3 day passes and a much closer hotel!
I got a desert bus t-shirt signed by Graham, Kathleen, Paul, Matt, James, and Jer! (you may not remember us but my friend was the one who talked about getting the shirt signed by Penn and Teller earlier this year)
Anyway, we're from Vancouver Island (I'm in Nanaimo) and we saw Paul and James again at the ferry terminal in Vancouver earlier today on our way back... that was pretty cool.
Sad that it's all over, but I'm looking forward to going again next year! Also Desert Bus 5 in November!

Re: PAX Prime
Was about to post a new thread for my pictures from the meetup, but I saw people were posting here.
LRR Kickline
...And jazz-hands!
Matt felt like he had missed out, so he went solo.
Hat get!
Grahams dislike being petted...as far as I can tell.
Graham and the awesome fan who donated the hat.
"How you doin'?"
James finding a way to make Hover Hands even more awkward.
Um...yeah.
Thinking pose! This shot would have been a lot better had I remembered to bring other lenses with me.
Sadly, I missed a great deal of the panel because I had to be at the Halofest Party (which was pretty lame), but getting to meet up with other fans more than made up for it.
To next year!

Re: PAX Prime
It was odd, this PAX was the most social I'd ever been at a PAX.
Sadly, very little of it was social with LRR folks. I stopped by the booth, got to talk to Tally, a fellow buttoneer, and she came up for a great idea for Alphie after he's done traveling. I went to the meetup but had to leave pretty early in it, so didn't get a chance to meet and mingle with any Runners.
Wasn't in the cards for a very LRR PAX this year, but as I spent pretty much half of PAX East LRRing, it was a fair balance.
For anyone who saw the mute guy in a red dice hat covered with buttons, a post-PAX hi and wave. :)

Re: PAX Prime
Hey,
I was the bearded fellow kneeling down at the front. I was also one of the British guys who won a ticket to the improv night. Amazing show, am so happy I got all the performers to sign the +5 hat of names. Jer's part of the improv ballet was amazing. I am uploading all my photos to flickr as I type this and will post the address when they are done. I have also started uploading my road trip photos if anyone is interested.
Just to say one last thing, the whole of the LLR crew and it's/their (sorry angry kitty) fans were the friendliest people I had the good fortune to meet.
Had an amazing time at my first time at both PAX and in the states. Am now enjoying my first time in Canada.
Thanks to all!

Re: PAX Prime
I gotta admit, LRR hangout times may have been the most fun I had at PAX East. I just hope that there are more of the crew and more of the Runners this next year. Though I will say right now there is one thing that may possibly make me miss East 2012, but that is for another post.
