PAX Prime
I don't know if it is too early for this discussion or not, but since I just confirmed plane tickets and reserved the boarding dates for my dog it has been on my mind.
Are you going to Pax Prime? What are you going for?
Here is my list.
Blizzard Stuff (especially Diablo III)
Wizards of the Coast Stuff
Other Table Top Board Game Stuff
Panels (Kris and Scott, Scott and Kris being a main one and I am really hoping for another Acquisitions Inc. showing)
Meet some LRR folks and do my best to track down Mike Robles to steal his bag of MTG goodies.

Re: PAX Prime
I am going, but really only to see LRR and fellow LRRites. We'll see if anything else catches my fancy. I'm only there from midday Saturday to Sunday at 5 or so.

Re: PAX Prime
I have a three day pass and hotel reserved. Mostly LRR stuff and some Seattle touristy stuff since I've never been to that part of the country.
Of couse, then I have another week of west coast exploration as I travel from WA down thru OR to SanFran for a friend's wedding over LaborDay...
Fiend and I would be interested in splitting hotel room costs if anyone is in need. We have reservations thurs-mon.

I've got a three-day pass, and I still haven't gotten a hotel room. I keep meaning to, and then... >.< You sure you wouldn't mind?
Anyway, mostly doing LRR stuff.

Re: PAX Prime
Seattle is a great tourist town. The Market is about a ten-minute walk from the convention centre, and the Space Needle/Experience Music Project a ten-minute retro monorail ride (that's fun).
I love Seattle.

Re: PAX Prime
I'm going for the LRR stuff, as well as hopefully some Saints Row shenanigans. Luckily, I live within three hours of Seattle so if my plans for staying with one of my friends falls through, I could conceivably drive there all three days.

Re: PAX Prime
This is my wife and I's first PAX so we are looking forward to it, and my first time to Seattle.
While I have everyones attention... Those of you that know the area, what are some good places to eat within a couple of blocks to the convention center?

Well, you do know about Pike Place Market, right? It's about seven blocks away, so it's maybe a little far, but 's worth it.

Re: PAX Prime
In the market, go also to the cheese shop where they make their own fresh cheese and have their 'world famous' mac-and-cheese. OMG SO GOOD.
Good places to eat... do you mean stand-up, hurry type spots? Or nice restaurants?
Serious Pie has the best pizza I've had anywhere (potatoe, rosemary, pecorino), but it's a tad pricy (worth it), no reservations, usually a line up.
Barolo's is a great expensive Italian joint.
It's Seattle; there's great dining everywhere.

Re: PAX Prime
I am thinking we would like to take advantage of any Asian cuisine that might be in the area. Any authentic Japanese (mmm Somen, Soba, Yakitori, Oyakodon, Ramen, Udon etc.)? Korean (mmm Bibimbap)? Thai (mmmm Pho) Chinese (mmm Shumai)? Pizza places are good too, and diners. We will probably go to one nice sit down place to eat on Sunday night. We just want to find some stuff that isn't fast food and is probably higher quality in Seattle than in Lincoln... we have most of those things, but I would imagine the quality of ingredients is better there, than here.
I mean, for farm produce you can't beat where we live. Best beef, pork, corn, bacon, eggs, in the country. But fish and citrus fruits, and Asian cuisine here are lacking.

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? (Sponge! Bob! Square! Pants!)
I'm afraid I can't really help anyone out regarding restaurants and hotels and what not, as I hardly ever go down to the waterfront, but I do intend to be there.

Re: PAX Prime
AUGH SO INTENSELY JEALOUS of everyone going to PAX Prime. People had better take lots of pictures/video of the LRR meetup!
Just want to remind everyone that though I'm not a gym leader at PAX Prime, the second year of the PAX Pokemon League will be there! If you've got a copy of pokemon Black or White, you can challenge gym leaders, who will be roving around wearing bright green scarves. Defeat them and you can earn badges! Also I hear Team Rocket is up to something....

So sad I'm not able to make it out this year. Hopefully I'll have better luck for PAX East.

Please don't make it during a concert! I would be sad then. Also, I know you guys said chocolate chip, but do you mind if I get carried away and make more of other kinds? XD

@Fayili... you really think people are going to complain about free baked goods? Really? I thought you were frindly with gamer-types.

Re: PAX Prime
God, I'm going to be so dead for PAX Prime this year O.O
July 16th - The Summer Festival (~500 attendees, I was one of the main organizers)
July 22-24th - LANcouver 3-day gaming convention (200-300 attendees, I'm helping organize the console gaming section)
August 13-14th - Cos & Effect 2-day costume, cosplay, alt-fashion convention (1500-2000 attendees expected, I'm pretty much lead organizer)
August (25)26-28th - PAX Prime (you know what PAX Prime is )
At least it looks like I'll likely have September off for crazy events organizing. October will see me have another 2, and I think there is something planned for November.
But seriously, if I survive through PAX Prime, I'll be amazed! XD
