My cousins-in-law just named their new baby girl Harriet Norah (lastname). I'm pretty sure it's so they can call her Hattie, which is pretty great.

Re: The General Chat thread
Hattie is a great name. Any child should be proud to have it. They should wear a button at all times stating their name with pride.
Trying to build my YouTube viewership a while back. So I made a commercial for my channel and put it on Google AdSense. It cost about 6 dollars a day for a month. Results just came back in today, I made 5 new subscribers. I have come to the scientific conclusion that I might have wasted my monies.

Is she your first pick in the upcoming Gatecrash hat draft?

Well, the snow's still comin' down (or rather sideways based on the strong winds), and there's not much drifted yet...an inch or two in places on the walk and driveway...
...but it's supposed to turn to freezing rain this evening, and at 5pm, the light is starting to go, so I'm gonna get kitted up and go dig!
Cya soon (hoping the power doesn't get knocked out )

Re: The General Chat thread
Well, that was about what I expected; almost needed a broom more than a shovel. But I really wouldn't want to be driving out there right now - there're plenty of bare patches on the roads, but it's a proper blizzard; visibility sucks, and it's gonna get worse now that the sun's below the horizon.
Might wait and see if the plow goes by soon, and dig out the driveway again after. Otherwise I'm gonna have'ta get up extra early to dig a path out tomorrow morning to take a cab to work by 8am.

Hey America and Canada, share some of that Snow with Britain, I didn't get chance to take any photos in the last batch, and you'd get to laugh at our hilarious inability to cope with snow.

Re: The General Chat thread
So I'm not sure where this belongs. It's kind of a vent, and it's kind of me looking for advice. So I put it here.
Within the next month I need to learn how to set up a Pix 515 Firewall, remember how to set up and configure routers and switches to allow for interVLAN routing, learn how to set up pfSense 2, and generally know how to keep a network secure. I'm taking part in a Cyber Defense League competition in 26 days and that's how long I have to learn all this stuff. I do have one partner, but I'm not sure how much I can count on him. Not to mention that I only have two group meetings left before the competition. AND I want to skip one of them since it's the Gatecrash Game Day and I desperately want a playset of the promo.
So yea. Fun times.

If you've seen the "Annoy Me" thread you'll know I'm trying to write lyrics for a song. It's not finished yet but I quite possibly just wrote the best thing I'll ever write.
You retreat defeated
Back inside where you're needed.
Another chance for solitude
In an anechoic shell.
Kiss away you're distant dreams
And slowly drift away from Hell

Re: The General Chat thread
I'm going back through the LRR mines and just watched "The Truce" again. I never really picked up on how the Truce was made centuries ago but the video takes place today. Then it hit me.
The Warriors of Darkness are immortal, that's a given. But is Steve? Well no, because his cloths were too modern when the truce was made. So that must mean he's a time traveller. But how does he travel through time? Remember when the time helmet disappeared in "Keytars"? *wink wink nudge nudge*

I made a thing and then shared it slightly more than I think is really necessary and now I'm all antsy waiting for people to notice and give me feedback.

Yeah, it were kinda cool.
It is for this reason that I next to never self-publicise on my blog, because that way it doesn't matter if nobody reads it.

I'm not a fan of MtG either.
Sorry Fay. When I heard people talking about magic card types my brain switched off.
But Wizarding now is just about... generic made up magic and wizard things.

We barely talked about MtG. And I wasn't involved in that part pretty much at all. XD

Well if you're going to call it an MtG thing...
