I'm actively trying to post more, but it's getting harder and harder to do.

I'm thinking once I pass the 1k mark people will take me more seriously.

Fair enough I just feel like an intruder when people have 10k posts and they behave between themselves like they're the cast of Friends and everybody else is a guest star. By the way my sister is watching a lot of Friends for some reason. Boy did they mess around with shipping in that show huh? I mean Rachel and Joey???

I'm pretty sure only the Australians here know who I am....granted I've meet most of them in person now.
*Note* Friends is gross don't do it, try an exorcism, it might save your sister.

Re: The General Chat thread
Every sitcom has that crazy thing about messing up with the characters' relationships. So yeah, Rachel and Joey....

My sister was doomed the day she took Nip/Tuck seriously.

Re: The General Chat thread
Bebop, to be honest, I pay so little attention to post count that I had to check yours after I read your post, and was surprised it was that low. Don't worry about it – this is a small community, you've already made an impression.
I know who you are! You're the guy who makes games, really strange art, and drinks a lot, right?
Actually, it only takes about a month of semi-regular posting for me to start feeling like someone is a regular. Not sure if that's a comment on this community, my memory, or just how much time I spend here. Mind you, I also feel like I'm just a lurker that nobody really knows yet, so I know exactly how you feel.

I think it took me a few years of being a semi-regular on this forum before I even hit 1000...Mind you back then we didn't have the General Chat thread and all the game and rant threads and stuff like that. (Or a lot less of them.)
This forum fluctuates but always stays small at its core, and unless it's immediately after DB anyone is pretty notable within the community here if you post for awhile. I've been here (on and off mind you in terms of being a regular, but for a couple of years this forum was bookmarked on my internetz page) since 2006 and my post count is in the 2000's still somewhere? After a month or two anyone is pretty recognizable if they're posting enough.
Point being, ain't nothing but a numburr.
(Was gonna post horrible song but decided to spare everyone...)

Oh, and on the other topic, I only saw the last few seasons, but Rachel and Joey were a much better couple than Rachel and Ross.

Re: The General Chat thread
What Kara said; "post count" is nothing more than "the number of posts a user has made"; it is NOTHING regarding 'worth' or 'acceptance' here.
Now, quality of posts, rather than quantity...THAT will determine how the 'regulars' around here treat you!
(yes, I'm just kidding! )
Side note, when the FUCK did I pass 10k posts?!? That...*goes and checks*...that's more than a lot of regular posters; I'm #6 on a list of 'most to least posts'??? I know I natter on a fair bit, and I have been taking part in some forum games lately, but...
Yeah, so on tying this back to the topic of discussion, this seething morass that is my posts doesn't earn me ANY more respect among the other people here...heck, my verbosity is probably alienating them from me!
So don't worry about it; I already consider you a 'regular' on my 'list' based on your and my participation in common threads.

Re: The General Chat thread
If you post every few days, it's surprising how quickly you go from stranger to "guy who feels like he's been here forever".
Same with me when I started. It took about two-three weeks before I was posting here like an over-zealous mailman.

Re: The General Chat thread
I still feel like "the new guy" here... then I look at my post count and I think "whoa, I didn't realise I've posted that many posts in, what, a year or so? Wait... I've been here over 3 years already?"

Re: The General Chat thread
It's been funny in the past few days coming back here cause a lot of the people that I've seen posting a lot were only just starting on this forum when I stopped being a regular (2 - 3 years ago), and now most of their post counts are almost higher than mine.
It's cool to see how the community has changed and who the new big posters are and who's stuck around.
(I miss Allen! tho...)

Re: The General Chat thread
I already write fan fictions about you Bebop Man, somehow they always end up with you in a Malt Liquor distillery feeding melted butter to a LRR B-Team member with a sponge though. Never the same shaped sponge, never the same person getting buttered, and they never start out that way just one of those weird quirks of the universe I guess, like sweedish meatballs, Breen , or Roopo balls.

D'awww good ol' Allentines!
One of the main things I miss about Vancouver is not being in vicinity to have an occasional coffee date with the guy.
Also man, this forums big on the Friends talk these days.
