So.. I'm back or whatever? *sets party streamers and tiny fireworks off* Woo.
Now. What have I missed from the last.. Oh.. 2-3 months (probably). In detail. With illustrations.

Thanks for the informations, I guess I should have asked if anyone knew anything about this bank to begin with.
I think my story is going to be "I already sent it, though I lost the tracking info. But I'm not in any rush, you can just pay me when you have it or whenever." It'll be fun to see if he thinks it's weird that I could send it without an address. Maybe he'll think I'm scamming him.

Yeah, sounds cool...even if it runs the risk of devolving into the scene below.

OTOH, I would strongly reccommend not doing anything that would be construed as fraud. Report to whatever authorities there are and move on.

Re: The General Chat thread
Can anyone provide some advice? My fridge has been making a vibrating kind of sound lately. It usually stops if I press on the door so I thought maybe the door wasn't closing properly, but I can't work out why. It also happens if the freezer door is open at all, or if the fridge door is open certain amounts (for instance - 45 degrees, no vibrating, 90 degrees, vibrating.) Anyone got an idea why?

Maybe one of the screws holding the door on is loose?

Re: The General Chat thread
Google "[Manufacurer name] [model name & number] vibrating" and see what comes up.
Odds are? It's nothing. Fridges make weird noises. With the doors, it could be that the door being open causes the frame to flex slightly and something is rubbing something else. Is there adequate space around your fridge (at least a couple inches in back)?

Re: The General Chat thread
One thing that's easy to check (and fix if necessary) is if your fridge is level.

Yeah, you need to keep posting gifs in the Hijack Thread to reach that point.

I don't think I've ever even opened the Hijack Thread. Its contents elude me.

Well of course the contents will elude you if you don't open the thread. Get in there and dip a toe. Someone will cut it off and set you on fire, but at least you will have found out what the thread means

Re: The General Chat thread
A lady from France contacted me because she wants to reprint one of my blog posts in this book she's writing about film financing (the blog post in question mostly discusses numbers and statistics regarding Argentine cinema, with little flair or personal input). I wan't to OK it but I don't know if I should consult with the blog owners in the first page. Even though I did write and sign the post, I don't own the page, and I was paid for the post in the first place. Should I consult with the page owners first, or am I legally/morally entitled to the ownership of my posts?
Re: The General Chat thread
So, let's say that after drivng three hours and doing an interview (which went well by the way), you had to drive three hours back home.
And let's say that you were starting to feel sleepy an hour away from home.
A good solution would be to pull over in a rest area and step out of the car for a few minutes, stretch your legs, that sort of things.
A bad solution would be putting on Caramelldansen (Speedycake Remix) on repeat for the entire last hour of the drive.
I'm fairly sure I'm going to die in a pink haze tonight, or perhaps wake up tomorrow with Caramelldansen-themed superpowers tomorrow.

Re: The General Chat thread
What does the text of your agreement with the page owners say about republication rights?
They COULD have basically bought the passage (essay?) you wrote lock, stock, and barrel including the right to any profit from its republication...
or they COULD have essentially 'leased' your words for use on their site, and permitted you free use of that same body of text for other endeavours.
...or it could be something in between.
