Alright, again, use Georgia, but promise that you send this paper attached to an email written entirely in Wing-dings.

Well, there's "Computer Modern", designed by Donald Knuth for TeX. Times New Roman is Serif, but perhaps overused. I use Courier quite frequently, but mainly for things I want to intentionally set apart from the rest of the text (such as code samples), as it is monospaced.

I'd probably recommend Garamond in the end. It's a fairly nice serif font that's common, but not overused, and not too fancy.

I really just use Times New Roman for everything. I don't care, it looks good.

Same here, 90% of the time. However, for an assignment where the font, for some odd reason, matters, I don't think Times New Roman will cut it.

Seriously, ten percent of my mark (of this COURSE) is my title page, which is due today.

Do they not have work term classes at UNB or wherever you are gunner?

This being my first work term, I get the lovely class "learn how to make fucking work reports."

This involves being more anal about format than content.

They just tell us "Give us a 10-page technical report, this is the format we expect, do it or we won't put 'Co-op' on your diploma." There is a unrelated class that focuses on technical reports, but the content counts for more than the font, or the title page.

10? You lucky bastard.

We have to do 4 16 pagers (sometimes more), on top of this 8 pager.

For the real ones, content matters more.

For this one (I'm writing about the importance of co-op learning!) it's mostly format.

Here, they just care about getting the students out working, and getting positive employer evaluations. The reports, they really don't care about, and we don't even have to do for the fifth and sixth terms.

I just sent off the first script for a sketch to my friend with all the camera equipment. And when I unboxed the late christmas gift of a cheap plastic LED reading light, my first thought was 'Hey, this makes an awesome generic scifi prop. Oh, I can even make it laser gun shaped.'

What have you done to me LRR! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME!

Dad logic:

"Dinner tomorrow will be frozen stuff, since your step-mom and I are going to be out, so I figure I'll cook something for all of us tonight."

Buys a frozen lasagna from sobey's.
