Hmmm. Well the throat is generally the place to aim if you are going to be doing it to multiple people at the same time, takes them out of the fight quick.

Also, a little rant here. Escalators. I disslike them enough, they make me uneasy. Now while coming back from loading ready melbourne, and at southern cross station i was using one to go down and gripped hte side.
My fingers went around it, and touched the underside... and electrocuted me enough that i couldn't feel my arm for a few minutes.

I'd just like to say... The fuck? It may just be ignorance, but since when is there live electricity running under them flimsy plastic railings... and shouldn't you, you know, completely cover it if there is...

Guessing that was probably static. An escalator is basically a giant van degraff generator

Couldn't care less about the effect of my carelessness on me quite frankly. Other people, particularly close friends, getting dragged through hell because of my actions is another matter entirely.

Wow, never before have I met somebody in real life that I've generated so much dislike for within a minute of knowing.

I would have been fine just thinking of you as Abrupt Jimmy Stewart. But you lost me when I had to go into detail when I said 'the manager wants us to put these fliers on cars in the garage after 4 pm on saturday'. Is that really hard to figure out? How did you get to be 50? That's a simple task! Don't question why I didn't do it since it says the exact same thing on the box they're in!

Also, I'm not doing your work. I put up the 'out of order' sign on the men's restroom stall door just because you complained so much. But I'm not calling a previous guard to see if he left a pizza in the fridge or leaving a note on it asking who it belongs to. You want to do that, be my guest.

I'm not into gossip. While I've heard rumours about what happened to the guy you're filling in for I'm not commenting about what could have happened. Ask a manager or somebody higher up if you really want to know.

This bugged me the most about you, if you're goingto tell me a group of people were loud because they had a party in the multipurpose room, just say a group of people. There's no reason to keep remindIng me they were black. It could have been me, but I'm fairly use you wanted to say something a lot worse.

I now dread working next week since I really hope you aren't here again. I honestly dont know if I'll be able to tolerate you since I was very close to laying a verbal smack down on yor ass.

Two kinda mild ones:

1) I awoke to the strains of a jazz cover of "Run To You" - female vocalist so 'she' became 'he' in the lyrics, but apart from that, the lyrics were the ONLY think recognizable in the song - the key, tempo, melody, ALL of it altered drastically. At least it made me get my lazy ass outta bed quick. ;)

2) I just fired up the client of Age of Conan: Unleashed and saw in the dev notes that Funcom was holding a charity fundraiser for the Childrens' Miracle Network with their MMOs...yesterday. If only I'd checked the game I'd have been able to join in and help raise money for an admirable cause just by PLAYING. :(

Fucking hell, my roommate is a loud pice of shit. How did he not get murdered by his family in the past 18 years?

Oh, right, they're a bunch of inbred mountain people.

Once he finally breaks up with his dramatic slut of a high school girlfriend, then all I'll have to do is sabotage his xbox and he might just finally kill himself.

Did you know it's possible to get a hangover from drinking tea?

I was woken up by a phone reminder this morning at the time I was supposed to arrive at work, with a niggling headache and a taste in my mouth like I'd been licking the carpet all night. (I hadn't.) The cause of this distress? A late night and two mugs of tea.

Now I remember why I gave up drinking tea any later than 5pm.

Umm.... Tell me, what use is it to set an alarm for the time you need to be somewhere? Logic dictates that if you need to be there at that time, you should already be there, not somewhere that requires an alarm to notify you to be there...

That just seems... i can't... how the...

That's the point: I set seven alarms to wake me up and a phone reminder to do something as soon as I got into work, but I slept through all seven of the alarms thanks to the caffeine hangover.

Tea does not work that way. You were inadvertently poisoned / drugged by something, or your brain is all fucked up, or something. Not the tea.

No, tea (well, caffeine, but I don't drink coffee) has that effect on me: it doesn't keep me awake or alert if I'm tired, but it does make it harder to wake up once I'm sleep. The effect has never been so extreme before, though. This time it was nasty, rather than just annoying.

seriously anime fans, what the frak is it with you people and "bring me to life" by evanesence. I have heard this song on every video I have watched. It wasn't that good when it came out, and now that its ten+ years old it's not any better. STOP USING IT

Actually it does. There IS caffeine in tea, just as in coffee, and said chemical IS a diuretic (dehydrates you - alcohol is such a strong one that it's famous for the dehydration aka "a hangover"). Combined with the more well-known effects of caffeine, it's entirely possible he got completely thrown outta whack by it.

ION™, I really gotta get away from that deli - I'm seriously thinking about just taking yet another step down (line cook or even waiting tables) just to get away from the 'jack of all trades/master of none' job duites AND the damn noise drowning out customers' speech AND the 'co-worker drama'.

WAKE ME UP INSIDDDEEE

I was GOING to post a link to a Death Note Bring Me To Live AMV, thinking, "That's such a dumb combination, there couldn't be THAT many."

What the fuck, Youtube? Do you even KNOW what Death Note's about? It's about MURDER, not bringing people to life. You couldn't be more wrong.

Guh.

And I like Evanescence.

Kool, what you're not realizing is that people who are into Death Note enough to make AMVs are going to probably be the teens and preteens who dress up as gothily as they can, feel all alone at school even though they try to stay distant from their peers, and love that song.
