Re: Venting Thread Gamma
I do hate anime fanboys. Clearly it's Disney's evil grasp that means Ghibli are doing "kiddy" films like Spirited Away and Ponyo (let's ignore for a minute that they were both masterpieces) and not stuff like Mononoke. It's not as if Totoro was one of their first films...
And no, the dub isn't going to ruin it. The dub has never ruined a single Ghibli film so far. You're just being pretentious and need to be slapped. Repeatedly.
And last time I checked, the thing that made Ghibli good wasn't their weirdness (although how you can deny that Ponyo isn't weird I have no idea) and them adapting The Borrowers isn't them becoming westernised. Gah.

For whom ever was trying to keep track - this is version 5 actually. Two were padded room threads, and this is the third under the venting title.
I am all sorts of frustrated right now and cannot write about it, cannot talk about it. It sucks. Ugggh!!

I hate learning just how shitty people who were meant to be your friends can be.
I hate that its illegal to burn idiots.
I was going to vent more, but it was making me feel more annoyed.

So, I know Canada is part of the Commonwealth and all, but last time I checked we drive on the right. I shouldn't have to explain this, but apparently there is some confusion on the matter. I know that little stretch of the street is one-way, but the whole thing isn't. They even have a sign telling you that! But thanks for almost running me over. I'm sure drinking that double double and texting your BFF was way more important then watching the road in a residential area where there are lots of kids.
While I am at it, a bicycle is a vehicle and should be treated as such. This means YOU yield to me when I am through traffic and you are turning into/across traffic. And don't back out on to the road without god damned looking.
On the bright side, it was finally cool enough("only" 33) to go for a bike ride and now I feel pretty great.

In actual vents, no, I don't need yet another doctor. I already go to five on a regular basis. What makes you think I have time for more appointments?
still got two more days open before it's a weekly gambit?
In actual venting, I wish, wish so hard that I could find a romantically open person. My currently entered complication is in many ways better than those I've entered in the past, as there seems like there is still a chance, but it's very hard for me to wait for someone else to make their move. I need an interpersonal time machine.

Went outside for a walk. Forgot it was supposed to be 100F with a Heat Index of 115F.
Still went for my walk and got a small lunch on the way (cheers for living next to a small mom-and-pop italian place).
Regretting every second of deciding to walk outside. Jesus fuck.
EDIT: No, I am wrong.
Temperature
100.9 °F
Feels Like 118 °F
FOR. FUCKS. SAKE.

Re: Venting Thread Gamma
And now "what I would have liked to have said theater." :::ahem:::STOP FUCKING SCREAMING about how the new tech we got you is stupid and doesn't work and how you are so SICK of nothing EVER working. That "success report" you just handed me? The one from the fax machine that "says that the fax went through, even though they didn't get it?" the one that "proves it's total bull shit?" IT FUCKING SAYS RIGHT THERE THAT THERE WAS NO ANSWER ON THE OTHER END. "Well, if you didn't know everything you know, wouldn't you think that this said" NO! No I wouldn't! You know why? Because I would have READ The entire fucking thing before I lost my shit. That's your whole problem, lady, you don't read ANYTHING. You just assume that all your problems are because the tech is broken, when it's ALWAYS because (say it with me now) YOU. ARE. DOING. IT. WRONG.
WRONG WRONG WRONG.
Oh, the paper keeps jamming in the new printer? STOP PUTTING IT IN WRONG. THERE'S A FUCKING ARROW THERE TO TELL YOU WHERE IT GOES. The email is broken? It's not going through THAT'S BECAUSE YOU LEFT OFF A LETTER IN THAT PERSON'S EMAIL ADDRESS!
How the hell do you keep making this many mistakes, yet STILL somehow manage to convince yourself every fucking time that it's the TECHNOLOGY that's broken instead of you and your stupid fucking brain?!

it's 108F here, and 21% humidity. NOAA says that should feel like 109F. Not too bad, but too hot to run or bike right now.

Re: Venting Thread Gamma
Just tried to use that NOAA calculator to figure out what the heat should feel like with the humidity, but it won't calculate for temperatures as low as it is here.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
In other news, the humidity is 74% here! Any higher and I'd have to swim to the store.
But now for my vent: It's a pleasant, sunny day, but I actually had to wear a long-sleeved shirt today! Oh the things you have to put up with when you have such hellish weather.
I think I shall have my cocktail on the veranda today, Jeeves.

Re: Venting Thread Gamma
Geoff_B = Winner.
My little Vent: Why can I never sleep on a Friday night when I have to be up at half 8 the next morning to go and dance for 5 hours. Argh!
Disclaimer: I am not suggesting half 8 is an ungodly hour to be getting up, since many people have to get up at six in the morning to go to work. And they would be angry if they couldn't sleep too.
(Edited because I put the wrong frigging day. I put Saturday night, I meant Friday.)
