1) If you do plan on moving as a large group of people; don't. Break into smaller groups, no more than say 5 people at a time. A large group of people will look both threatening and suspicious after the previous few days. I know this sounds redundant, but I thought I'd say it.
2) Don't dress as the Runners street gang, even ironically. You are in on the joke, the populace isn't. It only takes one paranoid person to see you all and panic. We understand the Runners are a joke, the rest of the population won't.
3) Don't dress as the West Coast Mother Lovin' Gs. You'll look like dicks.
4) Don't refer to yourselves as a street-gang, even ironically. This ties into 2 above. We know that you're not serious, 99% of the population know you're not serious, but that 1% won't. It's not worth the risk.
These are all more for travelling around town and on the tube, in a pub or restuarant, you should be fine to offer "Runners!" cheers when chinking your fine glass of chinzano.
I know this is all obvious and basic stuff, but, in my experience, people are dumb and will phone the police over the silliest thing. Don't ruin what will be an awesome day by letting one of the idiots in society get the wrong idea.
To add in, though it goes without saying, since it is YOU ALL we are telling this too...
5) If the police come by and ask you to do something, COOPERATE POLITELY! If one of you want to take lead on the event and talk to the policeman about where they would suggest a group your size should go, I'd even suggest that, because it will give you all one spokesperson, and if you run into more trouble, you can say you were directed to do something by another policeman and would appreciate any assistance given.
6) Be patient with the authorities. FSM knows that they are probably horrendously stressed and over-worked with all the rioting going on. So remember to use your pleases, thank yous, and sorrys, and be extra polite.
Trust me, civility and manners help a ton to diffuse a situation.
