Ahhh... Now you guys understand how we felt when Vancouver rioted. It's a shame, I would have never wished the shame and destruction upon our English brethren. Some of those photos brought back the heartbreak and emotions I had when I saw innocent people's businesses/property getting destroyed.

@ thevamin that is good article about reasons but no matter what burning stuff and attacking and in this case killing innocent people eliminates any and all sympathy and legitimacy.

Burning out innocents running down honest people I dont care that I've lost objectivity and am reacting emotionally.

TBH if rioters start dying I will have no sympathy and I'm usually verhmantly opposed to vigilanty justice and police brutality.

aye WBAGNR that is valid and makes me more glad I held off a full response while so enraged.

A few key points to remember

There is no absolute poverty in UK just an highly uneven distribution in wealth

Those at the bottom though fall in two broad groups the low income and those on benefits.
That article basicly says those on benefits have no hope no future ece but quite a few put themselves there.
Right now there aren't enough jobs that is true but ignores the big point
During the boom years there were plenty of jobs so many that people came from around the world to get them. there is a can of worms there I dont want to open here but at that point if you put in the effort there was a job to be had.
Yet even then these area had large amounts of people who go their whole loves without holding down a job. These are the same lot who moaned about the poles taking all the jobs.

Despite this the same people have chips on their shoulder despite society providing free

Health
Education
Houses
Enough to live on
Protection

Find me one picture of people looting a necessity or something that will help better them selves, its all just greed.

Compounding this are the low income people living in the same area who get all the above but have to pay taxes that contribute to it and its these people that will surfer the most from the riots.

Of course I feel terrible that its happening but I'm starting to get ever more anxious about it spreading north. I thought I had nothing to worry about up in Scotland but there was a riot in Glasgow the other night. Hopefully there won't be one in Edinburgh to ruin the festival among other things...

London is normally very calm and peaceful city but all of sudden it look like covers in flames. Now this riots turns into racist rites and that is terrible condition because unemployment is very high and Govt other spending too. So for me all of these things created these riots now.
