I'm quite looking forward to this.
My thoughts are: The crew are getting to do some videos on a subject that the, personally enjoy (I'm sure they enjoy making jokes at matts expense, but don't spend all there time doing it like in some videos. where as magic is something you go out of your way to do.)
On the other hand. When i hear someone say "In association with ........." it's usually meaning "They are giving us fat stacks of cash to sell our souls for awhile."
Though that is countered by this being LRR. I trust everyone here to look at something and make sure they don't wind up in that position.
I'm also getting worried that the crew may be starting to take on a bit too much for them to handle each week. Especially now that Jer is heading off because of time commitments. I mean, granted. I would love to wake up one day and see that the front page news here was "Good news everyone! We are making enough cash now that we have all quit our jobs to work here full time!" but, that isn't going to happen right now, and with the crews work, personal lives and trying to do the 50 different series they currently have running, some of which are quite difficult and time consuming to film i imagine (Most CH's look like they take a fair amount of planning to get done as is.) What i'm trying to say here is, i don't want to wake up one morning and see that kathleen, or james, or anyone for that matter, has had to withdraw from one or two of the series due to trying to fit 25 hours of work into each day.
Then my most positive thoughts. LRR is growing. Really fast, and really large right now. In the last couple of months they reached an entirely new viewer base with Checkpoint. And because of this, there are more people looking into the rest of LRR and more people who will be donating to Desert Bus.
In all, i look forward to it. Quite alot, and i hope it works out. Because, while i trust LRR to not sell themselves for alot of cash and make crap, as evidenced with ENN, sometimes you stumble onto a goldmine, and then you realise that you're trying to sell gold to someone who's currency is based around chocolate and strawberry milk.
