Re: Your starter pokemon
Bulbasaur, because Bulbasaur is fucking awesome.
Re: Your starter pokemon
I would like to say Magikarp cause then all the hard work and training would really pay off. But prob not a good idea for a starter so I'm gonna go with Vulpix.

Re: Your starter pokemon
Bulbasaur; I picked the little fella very first time through and never evolved him. A little corner of my heart still warms at those memories. Of course, had I stuck with the series past original Red/Blue my choices would almost certainly be wildly different.
Meowth, out of the originals. They're meant to be lucky in canon. Plus, they evolve into Persian.

Re: Your starter pokemon
Hmmm, either Squirtle because he's who I first picked in my very first blue game, or teddyursa because he evolved into a goddam bear. You can't beat that.

You don't have to go with the base pokemon, I said any (apart from legendaries). I picked Umbreon, not Eevee.

Re: Your starter pokemon
I chose (well, made a list of) base pokemon because I think watching them grow and become stronger would be very satisfying. That and there are some cases where I prefer the unevolved versions - Haunter looks so much more badass than Gengar, and the new gen evolution of Scyther bugs me.

Charmander.
The most unique, nicest, and confusing individual you will get to know. Don't be stupid around me, that's my job.

Re: Your starter pokemon
Because it's the only starter Pokemon where the evolution forms I consistantly like.
Because Galvantular is bad-arse and it would be funny raping people with a Pokemon 1 inch big.
Because flaming bugs are awsome.
Because Swellow is my favorate flying type.
Because Alakazham is a bad-arse and I imaging teleportation would be very useful. I would teach my abra an offensive move inaddition to teleport (I think hiddenpower is a legitimate one). So my Abra would teleport around doing sneaky hiddenpower attacks because apparently in real-life you don't take it in turns to use abilities and you can combo them (anime reference and real-lifefightlogic).

I know. What I said still stands. You just read it wrong and I should have included a few more worlds.
Joltik because it evolves into Galvantula who is bad-arse. Joltik is also about an inch big, the smallest known Pokemon. Significantly smaller than the old smallest; Diglette who was 0.8ft high.
You didn't seem to notice that I heavily implied Tailow was named Swellow

WHAT.
*slaps you with a glove, then throws it on the floor in a rage*
I CHALLENGE YOU TO A POKEMON DUEL.
I mean ... check out his figurine! Shweet semitransparent plastic galore!
Haunter doesn't even HAVE a figurine!
And I love all my figurines. Even the ones that aren't legit, but rather were fished out of those "pokemon figurine for $1" buckets at shady convenience shops. Where you get something like a vulpix that would split in half due to being two pieces of plastic, and/or there'd be mold marks all over it and/or it would be the wrong colour, etc. ... Am I the only one who went to those stores?

Re: Your starter pokemon
I'd go with a Pichu, because they're a reasonable size and quite adorable, and considering we tend to have a major power outage at least once a year (or, in my friend's case, once a month because her street is apparently cursed or something) it would be nice to have a backup backup generator. Sure it wouldn't be efficient when it's young, but I'm willing to bet one Raichu could power my whole neighborhood.
It would also be useful for shocking the neighbors' dogs every time they decide to start barking up a storm at midnight.

Pikachu. Yeah, and what?
(<-- totally doesn't play the game, used to watch the show)
No. No you were not. I bought so many little plastic men at these shops.
