Postby Matt » 10 May 2006, 18:39

*head explodes*

seriously, not kidding. also appearing:

no-suit samus, meta-knight from kirby, Pitt (kid icarus), and as a weapon item, a puppy from nintendogs, which puts its paws on the screen obscuring view.

And I JUST posted in the E3 thread about them not whipping Smash Bros out. Oh well
EDIT: I demand a video! NOW! Come on Big N, I need it!

edit again: Gamespot.com. They have a video there! Just search super smash bros, it'll come up with Brawl, and just sift through till you find it.
It's pretty cool.
Snake pops out of a box at the end and says "It's showtime!"

Nah they said that they don't want to bring any real guns into the game so he'll fight like everyone else

The part that interests me is the SSB icon item that seamingly causes them to do almost 'Exceed' style super-moves :D

Yeah. Except...I'll be playing it without Items, like I normally do :D Items ftw (I'll play with SOME, to ya know see what they're like, but when I'm really gaming...items blow)

but the items are what make the game particularly interesting. add an elemnt of startegy, depth, and urgency to the fighting. SSB isn't a fighting game, it's a brawler. and to play ssb without items would be like playing powerstone without collecting the power gems.

sure, ban invincible stars and healing items, but not all items.

Very true, there are some weapons which are a little lame like the Super Scope, but thinks like shells and such are much better.

The funny thing was, just a few weeks ago, I was playing Metaknight's Revenge on Kirby all stars (emulated). I am soooo glad they added him, and kirby's cooking pot move.

Also, the prieview movie kicked my ass clean off, especially with the opra-esque dramatic music when zero-suit samus appeared.

I want your babies Hal Labratory.

oh, by the way, SSB: Brawl is apparently being scored by none other than square alumnus Nobuo uematsu of final fantasy fame.
