De5ert Bus - Graphs & Stats

Postby SilPho » 11 Nov 2011, 13:42

That's pretty much it now. Desert Bus 5 has been, gone, and blown our minds! The final graph is shown below.

Warning: Fairly big image.

Last Updated: 12 hours after Desert Bus

Un-bussing-believable!

Seriously.

Liam's amazing graph site has a dynamic version of the same data, and you can drill a little further in to the data. The dynamic chart is superior but since I'm doing this for myself I figured I'd share it anyway.

I spent several minutes trying to find the line for DB5. Now I feel dumb.

Less than $600 short of last year's pre-departure total. The total is also around $3,000 higher now than it was 12 hours before starting last year.

Apologies for the double post, but I just wanted to point out how big the leap from last night is thanks to Ken "Value Added" Steacy. I think that's the biggest 12 hour leap in Desert Bus history.

I really love when Ken visits. His auction items are always so cool.

They said they ended up getting 219,000 last year.. so technically, 19000 away!

By my reckoning, Morgan now has the record for the most charitable shift in Desert Bus history. He raised 67,000 in 24 hours, beating the previous record set by the final day of Desert Bus 4 by $6,000.

I am genuinely at a loss for how awesome that is.

For the final hour, there was something like $22,000 donated in half an hour. That's really, really impressive. I wish I could make $44,000 an hour.

Do you mean the black 7% exponential or am I being stupid?
