De5ert Bus Tech Test!

Hey all, we're in the process of setting up our tech at the moonbase for this year's De5ert Bus.

That means we're going to be testing the live stream and the chat!

It's looking like we're going to start broadcasting around 4PM Pacific time, but keep your eyes on this space (or Twitter, or Facebook) for updates!

May I suggest getting a Sennheiser HD205 headphone for the sound check. That's what I use and I seem to be able to hear the hiss, crackle, static and pops very clearly.
I don't get this kind of thing from other audio sources, just the DB video.

My plan is for crappy speakers all the way. It sounds dumb, but it might actually make sense in this situation.

Sorry to have angered you and nagged about it in the chat.
I'm really sensitive to migraines and the sound was starting to induce one and.. well.. I may not be in the best of moods when that happens, so sorry about the nagging.
I'm glad you're on it and fixing it. I hope it won't be a real pain.

It's a cable problem clearly and not with the equipment itself. That won't be a easy quick fix like Jonny was saying so they'll have to test it off the air and hopefully they shall source the problem. I hope it isn't with laptop itself or that would terribly suck. But by the sounds things it sound like they had to hack and slash some equipment together to get it working for a tech run tonight.

Edit: I will say the tech run was fun though! Cannot wait for Desert Bus! Super psyched for it. Shame I couldn't grab holiday from work to watch.
