Well, as far as dubstep goes, I think Gravitic Warp may be making a comeback.

Re: Your Favourite Desert Bus 5 Memes
I'm familiar with the song & find it quite nice, but how did it lead to people just screaming (not singing) out AAAAAFRICAAA!!?

When Africa was being sung not many knew the words so they were mumbling. When it came to singing Africa Ashley decided to shout it out instead.

Ah, so much agree. :/ I was watching when Africa was sung, but didn't know that whole thing became a meme. I much preferred WAR GAR BAL.. Steven "STEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVE" Dengler made that work so well.. XD

I just have to share this one...
So I'm in the middle of negotiations with a potential guest for one of the conventions I run... and the guest expresses an interest in me doing something to "sweeten the pig".
I kid you not.
Also, it wasn't anyone from LRR.
That is all.

Digital Dolphin; I am very yes. I think that means I'm appoint. It's 4am. What.
Re: Your Favourite Desert Bus 5 Memes
Africa was born out of Ashley making fun of everyone for not knowing the lyrics to the song.
During the chorus everyone was singing "umble mumble dumble AFRICA!" so she just ran with that.
We don't vet or edit these memes, btw. If it takes off, it takes off.
So sorry if it was annoying I guess?

Now I am just imagining the edit or vet process for a meme.
It sounds difficult.

Re: Your Favourite Desert Bus 5 Memes
I was doing some clothes shopping yesterday and the Straight No Chaser version of the 12 days of Christmas was playing. It took all my strength not to yell 'AAAAAAFRICAAAAA!'. I really hope nobody noticed me turning red with sealed in laughter.
Well dong Desert Bus meme for almost embarrassing me in public.

^On the topic of almost embarrassing yourself in public.
The friday when DB ended I went to an interactive art festival with my class. There was this guy who did a presentation about how the future could be by describing 4 different outcomes. It had two scales, low to high tech and low to high art. At the end the host asked if anyone in the audience had any questions. And I had the hardest time ever to repress myself to jump up and ask what his stance was on erotic startrek fanfiction, and in which of those possible futures it would belong to...
I still kinda wish I did do that, because his whole presentation was a bit tongue in cheeck, but it was still an art-is-srs-bsns-type of festival.
