Foods What We Have Made And Eaten
Re: Foods What We Have Made And Eaten
So I made the lembas bread. My only problem with it is for the amount of food it produces the apple, honey, and sugar is lacking.
So if you do make it, add extra everything (IMO).
Also, you might want to trade out some of the brown sugar for white. It's a bit heavy in it. I didn't spread it out enough too giving it a brownie look. It is however hard on the outside and soft on the inside. Pretty good if a little dry

I ate 6 scrambled eggs for breakfast, cause they are like 3 days from going yucky.

Re: Foods What We Have Made And Eaten
I generally have two dozen in the fridge and rotate the carton. Empty one, buy one, put the new one underneath. This is strictly enforced instead of just "put new one in fridge" after the incident of the ruined cake. The eggs used were 5 months expired.

What'd you season those steaks with Khajit? Just salt and pepper?

Hmmm... sweet basil on a steak. I shall try that tonight.

Was it fresh? That doesn't seem like it would hold up well on a grill...

Awesome easy meal. Take eggo waffles or whatever equivalent. Put in toaster. Cook. Remove. Place a slight layer of butter and then spread marshmellow fluff generously. Its delicious.

Hey, breakfast is totally a meal of the day. And real waffles also works, but they are less quick
Re: Foods What We Have Made And Eaten
I do that too, only replace "fluff" with "peanut butter and/or Nutella."

Re: Foods What We Have Made And Eaten
Fun fact: "Jojos" are the Oregon regional term for what the rest of the sane world calls "potato wedges."
When I moved out here, it took me at least a year to start calling them jojos on a regular basis. I still think the name is silly, but I'm tired of fighting it. (I will never consent to the ranch dressing that is pushed on me every single time I order some though!)

So that's why I got weird looks when I asked for JoJo's on my ice-cream. Still, pretty tasty none the less.

Pittsburgh-style Cheeseburger. Doesn't matter where from.
4-8 oz patty, cooked Medium.
Cheddar Cheese
Heinz Ketchup
Then take all the fries that come with the burger, and put them IN the burger.

Re: Foods What We Have Made And Eaten
Man, that reminds me, I was watching some Travel Channel food thing (think it was Man V Food) where they talked about a burger where they mixed quite a bit of raw onion with the meat patty and cook it all at the same time. The outside onion gets all caramelized and sweet and the inside ones are still raw and hot. It sounded fantastic.

I can confirm that the mix of lean ground beef with chopped raw bacon, combined in burger form, has high levels of deliciousity.
(I add salt, pepper, egg, garlic powder, and some panko breadcrumbs to bind)

Re: Foods What We Have Made And Eaten
I once didn't have any bread to use for my burgers, so I used some falafel mix. Tasted great, little crumbly.

Next time I'm trying potato flakes, after I saw it on some cooking show.

I am of the opinion that breading any meat makes it at least 75% better.
I do not bread meat nearly enough.
