PAX EAST(er)! WAARGARBLE EDITION

It is time to start thinking and obsessing over...

BIG NEWS! It's been confirmed by Graham that LRR will have a table in bandland and MERCH!!! So bring your MONIES! (Note: Bump in the Nights will not be accepted as a form of currency.)

EDIT: 3 Day Passes and Saturday passes are sold out! :(

Panels that the LRR crew is going to be on:

PAX Game 2012!, Friday 6PM-7PM
The Escapist Movie Night, Friday 10:30PM-12:30AM
An Evening with LoadingReadyRun, Saturday 10PM-??????

For those who are attending PAX for the first time: this thread has all the information you could ever want to know.

--------

Also, a little side note: I'm once again going to be a gym leader (and this year, co-administrator/organizer!) for the Pax Pokemon League which will have me handing out badges to worthy Pokemon Trainers who defeat me in battle. There are 20 other gym leaders, and an Elite Four, and a Champion to defeat... so if you're looking for something exciting to do at PAX (or want to collect a set of 25 pins!), take the Pokemon League challenge!

I'll also be handing out my own personal pin to awesome people I encounter at PAX. You may remember last year's... well, this one is second in the collection! :B

I was originally planning to go to PAX East, however Fayili has made vague threats on my life if I do not attend Prime. So I don't think I'll be able to make it this year, unfortunately.

Fruity Rumpis Asshole Factory? You sure that name doesn't need more workshopping? No? Okay then. Asshole Factory it is!

We will be there.

Just who "we" is remains to be seen. Likely myself, Paul, James and Kathleen. Final lineup TBA.

So If you want to go, you better create a gaming website with 10 million hits a day or an app that gets downloaded more than angry birds.

Ten million? I don't think TGWTG gets 10 million a day. I doubt Expedia.com gets 10 million.

But if you don't have a invite now you have to do something super extra ordinary not just awesome.

I'm going. Last year I went last minute, got a hotel room, and shared it with 2 other last minute friends and another friend who was an hour's drive from the convention center and was going to drive to/from and decided to rather get a place closer.

This year, the wife of the couple found a condo to rent that is near one of the hotels that has a bus to the con, and got it 2 months after Pax East ended. Every week with her it's been "Only 8 more months until Pax, you excited?"

It's only now that I'm starting to get excited.

@AlexanderDitto - I stopped playing Pokemon: White after the 4th badge, I may bring it out again to get a team up to 50. Maybe not a good team, but a silly themed team...

I think I may have blown much of my con enthusiasm and time at MAGfest but I hope those going here have even but a quarter of the awesomeness I experienced up in Boston.

Aww darn. :( Was terribly excited about finally meeting you! Some day it will happen. I'll send along a button for you with the crew. And perhaps something more...

Listen, Rainbow Rumpus Party Town was supposed to be a terrible name, but I said it in jest and people latched on to it like remoras to a shark. Clearly, the answer is to make the name even more terrible. That shit has been workshopped to perfection (or once again stolen from the webcomic MSPaintAdventures).

Glad to hear at least some of you guys will be there. I hope it's all of you, of course, but I know it's a long trip. We'll send our well wishes back with you to those who can't make it, either way.

Excellent! We love silly themed teams. There will be gym leaders of every skill level available, even if you're not a super-tough trainer, you still should be able to get some victories in! And some leaders will award you for creativity and style in your team. :B

I REALLY, REALLY want to go. I missed it last year, and was GUTTED that I couldn't go. But I'm not sure it's in the cards this year, no matter how bad I want it to be.

If I can make it, I will.

FUUUUUUU...

I didn't get my pass. :( I was waiting for my current paycheck to clear, and that won't happen until Tuesday.

I still really really really really want to go, so I guess I need to wait.
