Need some more MOJO
So, I know you guys helped me get this cruise ship job with your freaky LRRunners mojo, but I need your help again.
So there's a theatre less than an hour's drive from my house, and they've had a job posting open for a little more than a month now that I just noticed. Thing is, this position looks like it was MADE for me. Everything from job requirements to experience necessary just screams ME.
So gimme some of that sweet LRR mojo. This is a full-time job doing exactly what I want to do for the rest of my life. And dammit, I wanna be selfish for once.

Re: Need some more MOJO
Hey, good luck Amativeness.
I was a little confused about you applying for another job when I know you'll be working on a cruise ship. How long will you be on the ship for? Are you on it now?
And what job is it at the cinema? I worked at one a few years ago serving customers, and I thought I had a pretty good handle on the jobs one might have available at cinemas in general, and none of those jobs seem to be ones as exciting as you describe. So I'm curious...
Anyway, it's clearly what you want to do, so here; enough mojo to count.
I still need a little for today, though. I have some numbers on tonight's lottery.

Re: Need some more MOJO
Sorry, must've been a little vague. I haven't gone on the cruise ship yet, and if I get this job I'd be giving up on the cruise ship.
The job is working for a theatre, not a cinema. Think Shakespeare, Broadway, that kind of thing. I'd be the Lighting Programmer/Board Operator, which is pretty much what I excelled at in college.

OOOOOooooohhhhh. Ok, that makes sense. There isn't anything exciting or fulfilling in cinema-based customer service.
Theatre lighting sounds fantastic! Best of luck, dude.

Lighting techs are awesome people. Go go gadget Mojo!
Just, don't become a Plumber. (Nickname for sound-techs acting like ass-hats. Term invented by me 9 years ago. And guaranteed to piss off any sound tech necessary Yeah, I've met way too many of those )

Hey, I did say, "sound-techs acting like ass-hats". Not all sound-techs are Plumbers. (one extra distinction, most of the time these guys only barely know what they are doing. Sure signs are bad audio leveling and adjustment, tangly, messy wiring and poorly thought out microphone placement. These guys simply "plug A into socket B and move slide C to adjust volume".)
