A teenage boy sold his kidney (for around $3000) to be able to afford a iPhone and a iPad.

I'm sure we've allthought "I wish I could afford that", but how many of us thought that selling a part of your body would be the best way to get the money? Especially for for a apple product.

This is almost marketing for apple, that apparently their products are so good that people are selling bodyparts to be able to afford them. No; worth an arm and a leg jokes please

Plenty of people only have one kidney. In fact, it's a great thing to donate.

You: now have to pee more often.

Someone else: now lives.

How does it lower your chance of reproduction?

Yeah, losing a kidney won't kill you, you have 2 after all. It have some drawbacks but still, not lethal unless there are complications or you suffer from some disease.

I think the point was that it becomes more likely that you will die, not that giving up a kidney means certain death. It probably doesn't increase your mortality by much though since, as pointed out, plentty of people live quite happily with one renal meat bag.
