Welp! I went and bought two on the slim chance that IX will be able to join me. As it is highly unlikely, however, I may have one to sell to one of you lot at some point.

I've got my ticket and am encouraging my group to buy them.

That being said, I'm hoping to try another LRR cosplay. Any suggestions?

Just be Gorgeous!

Alternatively, Rodriguez and Riley? I could probably rock Riley (Graham's character) since I look suspiciously similar to him. And, any excuse to cop a 70's... cop... look, is good in my books.

Outstanding.

The site has been down a bit today, but you will have several weeks before you're remotely in danger of it being sold out.

They're switching back to their previous ticket vending site, since this new one can't handle the load... or even a small percentage of the load.

So, should a non-gamer consider attending PAX? Or would that just be silly?

You should definitely attend! I only go for the LRR panels and the concerts anyway. And the people. Mostly the people. We can hang out! You can help me distribute cookies! It'll be all kinds of fun!

Look at the panel schedule first, see how much, if any, interest you. There may be enough that interests you to make it worthwhile, but maybe not.

If they did a PAX UK then I would be all over that. As it stands I am in the same boat as m'learned colleague above.

I can't imagine PAX being worth the trip unless you incorporate it into a whole larger travel plan.

Tapir, what do you mean by 'non-gamer'? No games at all, or just not video games? Even if you just play board games there's plenty there. Look at the panels and determine which you'd like to see.

That being said, if you have no interest in video games, the con holds significantly less luster.

It can be for some.
I've talked to many for whom PAX is a huge deal.
But! Seattle is beautiful anyone should make a vacation of a trip to PAX.

Yeah, plus you could go down to Portland or the coast, or up to Vancouver and Victoria and the rest of the Island.

Just sayin'

The whole area is worth the visit but Seattle itself has enough to do over the course of a week to fill up some time. A few geeky must visits are the Sci-Fi Museum and Pink Godzilla, the most adorable little retro and import video game store ever!

I have a good friend who lives in Washington state, close to Seattle, so maybe some day I'll be visiting PAX while I'm over to visit him.

Goddamnit, why do flights to 'merica-land cost so much?!

It's so tempting to come to meet all you guys, but I don't think a convention is really up my alley. Too many people. But, one of my friends is considering going, so there's always a chance...
