I think that it's been 6-7 years since I was in the Upper 6th form in school and that would be the same time you'd spend in Primary School/Secondary School in total.

That makes me feel old.

Especially when I see 'College' students and they look like foetuses to me.

I think discussing this might actually make me feel older than recognising it.

Additionally, DAMN YOU NUMBER 18, DAMN YOU TO HELL!
Though Mara Wilson seems to have aged rather well, Lipnicki less so.

There are students who will be entering high school (9th grade) who hadn't yet been born when The Matrix was released.

There are students leaving primary school (K-5) this year who hadn't yet been born when Operation Enduring Freedom began.

Anyone born when Pokemon green was released can legally purchase porn in most jurisdictions of the US. If you were born when Red and Blue were released in the US, you'll have to wait for two years, but it is legal for you to consent to sex in some jurisdictions.

Unless you live in a dry county, anyone born the year President-Elect Clinton took office can now legally drink in the US.

In two years, it will have been a quarter century since the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Hi-C is the only thing that made me sad; the rest gave me a chuckle - especially the "Why is this Post-It so hard?" joke. :D

Oh, and THIS is the Jonny with blond hair and black shirt that *I* watched as a kid:

...I used to watch that Jonny after school all the time. And then the more modern remake right after it.

Most of the bussfeed images don't bother me. Those are all thing I remember, but most of them never played a large role in my life. The only one that really gets me is the Heath Ledger one. That doesn't feel like 5 years ago yet. 2 or 3, sure, but not 5.

Most of these exploit our ideas of when things happened. For instance, the Matrix coming out two decades ago. Well, it was released in 1999, only 13 years ago.

/older than Unified Berlin.

I watched both Jonnys, and honestly I really adored the partially-CGI remake. If nothing else it had the most awesome opening theme to any Western cartoon of the time I think.

There are people with college degrees who have never lived in a world without The Simpsons.

Mostly this list made me nostalgic for Are You Afraid of the Dark? though.

...none of that made me feel old. And yes, I recognized everything.

Different perspective on the passage of time is all, I guess.

Exactly this. Also I really dislike it when Buzzfeed posts this kind of stuff, cuz it's usually poorly constructed, especially since I'm only 20 and I know like 90% of this stuff.

There are plenty of other things that make me feel old. Surprisingly, this list is not one of them. The things on it don't even go back that far. The moon landing was "a while back." Sixteen years since the N64? Please.

It just irritates me and makes me feel young because I wish I was a child of the 80's.

I recognize most of it though, so I think it's a failure anyway.

I am still friends with the mother and have watched the daughter grow up from when I changed her diaper during the homecoming basketball game to her being on prom court last year.

What makes me feel somewhat old is seeing a LOT of people I know having children. I think about half the people I know or still hear about that I've known have had children in the last year... and I'm only 21. It ain't lookin too good for them.

Then again, I live in a 'redneck' area. So maybe it's kinda to be expected.
