Iron Sky

Postby CtMolloy » 23 May 2012, 07:45

Has anybody else seen this movie?
A while ago my ex showed me the trailer and I knew it was a must see. We just got back from seeing it. It was just as awesome and lol-tastic as I thought it would be. I'm really glad I got to see it in the cinema, tonight was the last screening here as far as I can tell.
It doesn't seem many people I know knew about it, and I think it still hasn't been released in Canada and the USA yet, or if it will be, but you most definitely need to see it.
Nazis from the moon? Fuck yeah!

Enjoy!

Unfortunately it's got a limited release here and today is the only day it's anywhere near me, but I have to get stuff done.

According to the ads in the papers it's out in cinemas today and on DVD on Monday.

So work that one out.

I think it was only in cinemas for a little over a week here, We would have missed it if I didn't happen to check the session times on Monday while attempting to formulate a plan to see it on the weekend.

I didn't know the DVD would be out so soon. That's cool.

I'd love to see it in a cinema but I don't think anywhere in Notlob is showing it. Might have to go for the DVD option.

This trailer makes me want to watch it more than the last one.

Saw it last night. Its...well...special. As special as anything with Nazis on the moon can be. Its stupid, and thats what makes it likable.

The wonderful stupidity makes you overlook the plotholes and the fact that characters act wierd. Its nazis on the moon, its suppose to be stupid and funny, its a comedy with nazis on the moon after all.

I wonder how long it'll stay in the cinemas here. I knew the DVD would be out soon - the guys did the same for the last one. I have an actual Star Wreck shirt, bought from the studio.

(Given the studio is less than 50 miles away.)

Single day release, which was unfortunately today when I was scheduled for a shift. Some cinemas are doing extra showings of it, hopefully I can get to one then.

I suppose anyone looking for a serious moon nazi film would be disappointed. This is why I was glad my ex came, I don't think I have any other friends that would really appreciate the humour.

Associate ordered the DVD on release. Local club of which we're members intends to do a screening (and it's running at the local cinema). Either way, I'll have seen it within a week or so. Been anticipating this one for a while now. Keep you posted.

I've seen it (don't ask how) and... it's not quite what I expected. Granted, that might be that, thanks to the trailers, I was expecting something along the lines of "Mars Attacks!", but with Moon Nazis.

Alas, no.

It was still enjoyable for what it was and it had it's moments. I'd say it's worth a watch, if only so you can form your own opinion on it.

Yeah I also went into it thinking it was something along the lines of Mars Attacks, but it surprised me in a good way

I admit I am curious about this film after seeing a trailer for it. Shall have to check it out once funds permit.

That was terrible. But it was funny as hell and the most entertainment I've seen in donkeys. The cop exchange alone was worth the price of admission.

Indeed. We're talking Moon Nazis here. This not being awesome would be a defiance of the laws of the universe.

It is both awesome and so bad its good. What summed up the film to me was what my friend said while watching it.

So he's doing die hard in a nazi moon base.

Also
The MIR packing a giant beam cannon is a kind of awesome I didn't know existed.
Spoilers for your life.
The main character dies at the end.
