Depends on the brand. You can get some condoms out of a vending machine for a quarter.

...I wouldn't recommend those, not the least because they tend to reside in gas station bathrooms.

I wouldn't know- my mum's a sexual health nurse so I have a huge supply I've got for free, and I'm a virgin so I've never used them.

If you peel the banana before eating I don't think it would be that horrible.

About condoms, I've never actually been using them, when I've been with girls both of us have been tested and the girl has been on the pill so we ended up not using condoms. Which I guess is quite bad, since getting used to not using one I can't get comfortable while using it. Also I guess having the habit of wearing it would have helped that one stupid drunk time. Luckily nothing bad came from it that time.

How would you recommend starting to use it while being accustomed to not wear one, since I really have a hard time feeling that much while wearing it?

Maybe try out the extra-thin kind. They're the closest thing to not wearing one after actually not wearing one.

I've eaten bananas that had been covered with a condom (and then went somewhere >.>) and they taste exactly the same as any banana does. I'm not sure I would want to wait ages before eating it, though.

The vending machines in France were 3 euros for 2 condoms last I remember.

both myself and my SO have been tested and are clean, and she's on the pill, so I'm not in the habit of using condoms. We have on occasion because of mitigating circumstances - antibiotics can limit the effectiveness of the pill, for example - and I found that they were not terrible comfortable (I think I'm quite girthy). Obviously if i were ever to me having sex with someone other than my current SO (unlikely), I would have to find an alternative, but no real need at the moment. I certainly find that they make a difference to how it feels, and can make you last longer.

Also, I would have no problem eating a banana after it had been put places, especially if it had had a condom on. I mean, that skin is pretty protective. Might be a little squishy though...

The thing about The Pill is that there's a small chance that it might not work. Something I learned from that awful Hugh Grant movie, but the current edition of Contraceptive Technology seems to agree with.

Generally at least 2 kinds of protection are ideal, a friend of mine had the misfortune of finding out that the pill isn't 100% effective...

Good condom brands around here are 0.7-1£ and back home around 0.6-1€ per condom if you buy a box in a store. Also, from the little experience I have, extra thin condoms do feel much better.

This is just me speaking in theory, being a bone-dry virgin, but I'm not sure I would be able to trust an extra-thin condom. I feel like I'd be terrified that it would break.

Large extra thins run around 10AUD for 12 so here and when they are on special ~9AUD

In my experience good brands won't break no matter what kind you're buying. The only real danger are dime store condoms. Or not applying them properly. Having said that, I don't trust extra-thins at all. Obviously they work or they would've been banned long ago (I wanna believe), but I'd rather just not worry about it.
