Not questioning you personally, because I understand that everyone has different standards for what constitutes a "date", but that seems odd to me. I regularly go to the movies with a male friend of mine, and we have a standing agreement that we trade off who pays for the tickets and who pays for food / drinks.

I assume if the friend is enough of a friend that they went to the movies together, she also knows about you. It would suck if people had to stop being friend with everyone of the gender they fancy (especially if they're bi) whenever they are in a relationship.

I emphasize with the part about learning after the fact that your partner did something with someone, though. Even when they don't mean anything about it, it's so easy to perceive it as something done behind your back.

My advice would be: be natural, not TOO natural, but y'know, natural. Just try to start a conversation the way you would with a person you do not fancy like that, then add a few masked compliments here and there. If the other person's response to this is good make less subtle moves and so on.

My opinion of casual sex has changed over the last few... maybe six months. Casual sex in general hasn't ever bothered me, but until relatively recently I've always wanted sex that I had to happen within a long term, stable relationship.

But lately... I feel like I'd be happy to establish a friends-with-benefits situation. I don't think I'd want to have a one-night-stand, especially with a stranger, because even if I'm up for fun sex I'm not up for catching things or whatever drama may occur from someone I don't know and trust making their own assumptions and expectations, and not communicating.

Sex thread, I need some opinions. Way back in 2010 I met this girl at a party, we exchanged phone numbers, and then nothing happened.
