A game that started out as a mostly porn game but wound up having about 2 small sex scenes per path is far from fanservice-y. Plus, you can turn them off, but that would be like skipping the sex scenes in a movie. It's all about artistic integrity you know. And conveying the human condition or something.

This is a very fair comment but as some one who used to have a katawa shoujo inspired avatar I should probably say a few words about it. Katawa Shoujo is a relationship/dating sim, It would be weird if you didn't have many opportunities to form relationships in the same way that it would be weird if you never shot a guy in an FPS. In much the same way as a FPS a dating sim in a power fantasy. However as a Westernized version of a dating sim a lot of the sexism is played down. After Katawa Shoujo I played the very Japanese Clannad and I couldn't finish it as many of the characters were super submissive or shy and constantly fawning to cook you meals and other stuff. It was just way to awkward. Going back to Katawa Shoujo I found the characters interesting and some actual thought going into their personalities, With one of the characters being a subversion of the white knight. (also the protagonist is an idiot)

Pooing is rarely relevant to character development. Sex definitely can be, and I think it's a great shame those scene get skipped so much, because the way the characters interact can reveal a lot, and you don't get to see any of that.

I think I've realised that if I were ever in a relationship with someone, I wouldn't be able to ask them if they wanted to be intimate. I'm not a fan of asking people things because I worry a lot. I much prefer to wait and have people to ask me things such as do you want to talk or go somewhere like the cinema. I spend much of my time waiting and doing nothing.
