Yeah, they were going on about that on the Today Program and the Now Show, kind of a non news piece of news but funny.

Heh... reminds me of this Buttersafe comic

I love that comic more and more every time I read it.
As I've told a few other people, the day before my brothers wedding, one of his groomsmen ended up on the roof the hotel looking for the bathroom. It literally was just a wrong turn though. (all the alcohol didn't help though).

Have they sued the writers of "The Hangover" for stealing their idea?

This isn't so much brilliant as it is slightly disturbing but ....

This is from back in 2007. 4 men ran a 4x4 into the terminal at Glasgow Airport, the 4x4 burst into flames and a baggage handler starts hitting one of the terrorists while he was on fire.

I saw something about this on the local news last night and found it amusing: A street in London has put pads on the lampposts to cut down on injuries from distracted texters bumping into them.

That's just awful-funny.
It's like how there's a Pawn Broker's on the other side of the Job Centre in my nearest City. I can't think of anything more depressing. Maybe a Workhouse.

The only thing I can think of is either a homeless shelter or a soup kitchen. (Do we still have those in the UK?)

Re: Brilliant news stories
But homeless shelters and soup kitchen are helpful.
Pawn brokers are just depressing.
I would compare it to owning a dog and living near a pet cemetery, and having to walk the dog past it every day. It's going to be rather depressing.

Well if the doner meat is horrid, then it's something awful.
I somehow am put off Doner meat for a short while. I know meat comes from animals, but that wording is just... horrifying. I just got the image of taking 7 cows, and putting them through a blender and then moulding it into an edible phallic shape.
